This month, we’re proud to highlight A’Shauntee — a leader, advocate, and changemaker whose heart for families shines through everything she does.
“I’m a mother first… my children are my why. Everything I do is rooted in breaking cycles, building stability, and showing them what strength looks like.”
A’Shauntee leads with empathy, grit, and purpose. Her journey has shaped her into someone deeply committed to creating safe spaces for families — especially for moms who feel unseen or unheard. She has truly turned pain into purpose.
When asked if she could imagine herself doing something different, she shared:
“Advocacy isn’t just my job; it’s who I am… I don’t think I could ever do work that didn’t involve pouring back into others.”
That passion is evident in the impact she makes every day. For A’Shauntee, the most meaningful part of serving at Family Services is:
“Watching families realize they’re not alone… It’s about restoring dignity, hope, and stability.”
Her message to her 13-year-old self is just as powerful:
“You are not ‘too much.’ You are not broken. What you’re surviving will one day become someone else’s survival guide.”
