Kids with poor oral health may feel ostracized by their peers and be exposed to bullying and teasing. That’s why we’re joining America's ToothFairy to share the importance of healthy dental hygiene habits. It’s never too late to teach kids to brush for two minutes, two times, and floss one time every day. A nutritious, low-sugar diet and regular dental check-ups are also essential to growing up with a healthy, confident smile. Learn more about this Dental Hygiene Month campaign at MySmileMatters.org.

Poor oral health can affect a child’s development and performance at school:
● Early tooth loss from cavities can cause speech defects.
● The pain from tooth decay causes trouble at school too! Inattention and absences make it hard for students to keep up.

October is Dental Hygiene Month — the perfect time to recommit to healthy dental hygiene habits! Brush and floss with your kids every day to prevent cavities and set them up for success at school and a healthier future. Visit AmericasToothFairy.org for more tips on keeping your child’s smile healthy!

We’re partnering with America's ToothFairy to share why smiles matter during Dental Hygiene Month! The pain from untreated tooth decay makes it difficult for children to get the sleep and nutrition they need to thrive. Teach healthy dental hygiene habits by brushing and flossing every day. If your child gets a cavity don’t wait to visit your dentist! Treating a small cavity costs less and prevents unnecessary pain and suffering.

This month, we are joining with America's ToothFairy to spread awareness of the importance of healthy smiles!

Many people believe that you don’t need to take care of primary teeth because they will eventually fall out, but baby teeth matter! If left untreated, tooth decay becomes painful and can spread to permanent teeth. Plus, the early loss of primary teeth causes spacing issues that lead to crooked adult teeth. Start brushing your child’s teeth as soon as they emerge to establish healthy habits that will last into adulthood.
