Groundbreaking research analyzing 97 reviews of over 1,000 clinical trials with 128,119 participants found that exercise works as well as - and sometimes better than - antidepressants and therapy for treating depression and anxiety.
The study showed that ALL types of physical activity help mental health: strength training, aerobic exercise like running or cycling, yoga, and even walking. The harder you work out, the more benefits you tend to see.
