April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and show support for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological disorder that affects movement, balance, and coordination. Nearly 1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson’s, and about 90,000 people are diagnosed each year.

At Stoney Brook Senior Living, we recognize the strength of those living with Parkinson’s and the dedication of the caregivers who support them every day. By spreading awareness, learning more about the condition, and supporting one another, we can help create a more understanding and compassionate community.
