Sometimes, as parents we become ridged in the way we play with games and toys, and we become obsessed with keeping the play area clean and organized. But, a lot of times great play comes with a little chaos. Combining different toys and games together can result in great learning and fun play opportunities. I thought this was a good example of this!

This was such a fun and simple activity to plan and my kiddo loved it. Now she always says she wants to play “hide and seek blues clues” 😂

I’ve made a couple different questions and rotate them around so we have endless play options. The prize at the end can be anything! I’ve used something as simple as her favorite book. The fact that her prize is a surprise and she doesn’t know what she will find at the end makes it fun no matter what it is!

School transitions are always rough on parents as they try to undo all of the unstructured days of summer and prepare for sending their kids back to school. For some, this means back to bedtime routines, early mornings, structured meals and meal times, unpreferred environments, bus trips and social anxieties. Some of our kiddos prefer the structure of being in school but for many others this is a difficult transition. We hope that you all have an easy and stress free transition and a wonderful start to the new school year.

Here are some things that we do to help prepare our kiddos for the transition back to school!
