Low Back Pain Isn’t “Just Getting Older”

If you’ve been dealing with low back pain, you’re not alone — it’s one of the most common reasons people miss work, skip workouts, and lose sleep.

💥 Sore on the outside of your hip? It could be gluteal tendinopathy, a common cause of hip pain.

A new study looked at hip scans from people with this condition and found:

✅ Many had changes in more than one tendon
✅ Some had small or large tears
✅ Others had calcium buildup near the bone

The way the hip looked on the scan did not match the amount of pain or trouble they had. This means that what shows up on an MRI does not always explain how you feel.

A new study with over 10,000 people found that strong muscles reduced the chances of experiencing low back pain.

Interestingly, they measured hand grip strength… not even the back muscles! 💪

Dr. Anderson believes in treating each patient with a comprehensive strategy involving physical adjustments, education, acupuncture, nutritional support and wellness planning. This balance of holistic treatment and sound medical knowledge ensures that you are in good hands. Acacia Chiropractic & Acupuncture is proud to serve Belvidere, Rockford, and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences Doctor of Chiropractic Program. She received her bachelor’s degree i biology from Northern Illinois University. She has completed post-graduate certification in acupuncture and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Anderson is also a graduate of the Healing Oasis Wellness Center. She is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Animal Chiropractic) and is a member of the College of Animal Chiropractors. The HOWC is the only nationally accredited and state approved 226 hour program to provide certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy ( Animal Chiropractic). Dr. Anderson was born and raised in Boone County.
