Remember the days of mailing an application for a vital record, waiting 6-8, sometimes 12 weeks, (im)patiently by the mailbox for the record to arrive? I submitted a request to NYC Archives at 9:00 LAST NIGHT for a 1914 death certificate. I had the exact date, place and certificate number (thanks to index on Ancestry) and I received the record THIS AFTERNOON via email! Now, to confirm whether or not this is the correct "William Connelly."

How does one convince someone that the information they are using for their ancestor is Not their ancestor? I have sent a few very messages to a gentleman on Ancestry who is using "my" 2g-grandfather's info and picture for a man with the same common name in the same city. Very frustrating!
