Our Story
We are moms just like YOU, here to help navigate your breastfeeding journey! It can be challenging and a bit scary when you're a new mom - support is so important. We'd love to provide that supportive environment for you. We serve women on our WIC program as well as others in the community. Before you think breastfeeding isn't for you, call us! We'd love to meet with you! From the USDA Loving Support Website: Who are Breastfeeding Peer Counselors and What Do They Do? Peer counselors are mothers who have personal experience with breastfeeding and are trained to provide basic breastfeeding information and support to other mothers with whom they share various characteristics. Peer counselors provide breastfeeding recommendations in a socially and culturally appropriate context, and promote breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the mother and baby.
