Our culture tells us that everyone is having s*x, creating pressure to be s*xually active. But the truth is that many people are choosing not to be s*xually active. In 2023, only 32% of high school students reported participating in s*xual in*******se. Over 60% of students are refraining from s*xual activity.
People choose abstinence for many reasons including personal, emotional, religious, and health reasons. Engaging in s*xual activity with multiple partners or outside of a committed relationship increases your risks of exposure to s*xually transmitted diseases and other health concerns, as well as unplanned pregnancy.
Abstinence outside of marriage is not old fashioned. With the rise of STIs and STDs, it is still a wise choice to protect your health.
