Honorable mention to my Dad for helping me with projects at the office during his visit😍 Over the years I helped him at his gym in CA and now he comes up and helps me at our clinic in Bend when I need an extra set of hands with projects. Grateful for the him and the rest of our “village” who support Sunrise Physio and keep it running so it can continue to support all who enter✨ 🌅

Jordyn Maxwell is a wonderful addition to our Sunrise Physio team! ✨ Jordyn received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Prior to that she earned her Bachelor’s in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon.

Jordyn began her PT career specializing in pelvic health. She is a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and has substantial training in treating pelvic health conditions. She also has her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate. Jordyn now treats a blend of pelvic and orthopedic conditions and enjoys integrating her pelvic health training with orthopedic treatments.

Jordyn grew up in Bend, Oregon and enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with her partner and their dog. She loves climbing, hiking, running, and skiing. Jordyn is passionate about getting people back to doing what they love.

Sunrise Physio is proud to welcome Miranda Starr, DPT to our team! 🤩 Miranda dove in to a very full schedule at our clinic and has done so with grace ✨ She is curious, compassionate and has an interest in a wide range of PT issues. ✨Sunrise Physio Holiday Party 2024✨

This is a very special group of people.

I know things at Sunrise Physio will never be quite the same again. Life happens and we transform and move on to our next chapters. But it will be different in the future and I will always look back on this specific group of people and be so, so grateful. Grateful for their kindness and care, grateful for their support of me and grateful for their care and kindness towards eachother. This team has set an extremely high precedent for a work environment. And I will forever be so, so grateful for each one of these people in my life✨

Our stats as a business the last year: PT treatment at Sunrise Physio averages around 5-6 visits per diagnosis. Some people come in for one visit and some come in more regularly for things such as knee replacement rehab. We provide A LOT of education and we try to get people moving and out the door as quickly as possible to control patient costs and be efficient with everyone’s time. And, yes, we take most insurances to make our services as accessible as possible. 🌅

I started working in the world of pelvic health 17 years ago. At that time there were nearly zero women’s owned PT offices in town, I only I saw 65+ yo women with incontinence and I had to hide my work in pelvic health for fear of making others feel uncomfortable despite how important I knew it was.

Sheesh, have things changed.

We now have 5 pelvic health PTs at our women’s owned and women’s run clinic, pelvic health has become cocktail party talk and we proudly see ALL the pelvis’s. Meanwhile our Bend community has become more diverse across all spectrums and my boys have experienced a nonwhite man as president and two women who have run for president. I am so honored and humbled to be able to witness all of this exponential change and progress.

I have also recently learned the lesson that we can care deeply, work hard AND be unattached to the outcome as that is something we cannot control. May we all continue to care deeply and work hard to care for ourselves and each other. We are all connected.
