Meeting My Medicine – August 2025
After years of excuses and distractions, I finally picked up the paintbrush again. Nearly a year ago, I spent a month in the jungle, dieting with the roots and leaves of to***co, and forming a deeper connection with this sacred plant spirit.
Through nightly journeys, I traveled to the depths of my soul—across time and space, guided by ancestors and spirit allies—receiving healing and profound teachings.
This painting was inspired by my closing ceremony. While no words or artwork could fully capture my first experience in this place, I offer this piece as a reflection of it. I am deeply grateful to know that all beings ultimately return to that radiant state of pure love and divinity, no matter the darkness encountered in this human journey. Deep inside we all carry beautiful medicines. We are all gifted creators. ***coleaf ***co

And thank you for guiding us through the four altars in the most amazing ceremony in words cannot describe the beauty of this place and the beauty of the prayer.

It was such a blessing to be at Kinsa Cocha for the solstice with my beautiful family and friends. I wish I could bring all my loved ones here to experience this incredible place. Walking across the lake on a moss-covered path dotted with flowers, tiny hailstones glistened and bounced into pools of water, like little frogs hopping on the moss. The sun shone through the incredible clouds, casting light on the ancient faces of the Apus, as they looked down on this surreal beauty with us. I didn’t take any photos until after we finished our ceremony and were hiking out, but I will never forget this beautiful day and can’t wait to comeback back again and again to this magical place.
