Did I finish my Christmas shopping and am now second-guessing my choices, yes.
Did I forget to finish scheduling all of my winter acupuncture and massages for myself last week, also yes.
Will I get it done this weekend, YES!

I love knowing that my next Massage is already on the schedule. It is something to look forward to; I know I have that time coming just around the corner.
You should consider gifting that to yourself too. There are still a couple weeks before Christmas to get it done!

Gift yourself a little peace! A piece of time just for you to relax. The massage table is warm and cozy. I will play whatever music you want to listen to. And I will tell you I am so thankful to see you and so glad that you are taking care of yourself in this season.

What makes a massage great? Is it a special technique? The office location? The Massage Therapist’s presence?
This one was asked by , one of the professional organizations for the massage and bodywork industry. The LMTs are noting how old school this non-adjustable facerest is.
I think attention to detail and ability to adapt the session to the person receiving massage are key components of a great massage. The fixed position facerest won’t accommodate everyone. So does your favorite therapist have enough props, positions, and techniques to adapt to every person on their table?

If you aren’t totally stoked about the ice and snow, I get it. I manually shoveled the drive everyday this week! ❄️ If you are feeling it in your back and pecs, make a plan to get a massage this weekend while we get a break in the powder!

If a spot feels tender during your massage, try to take a breath in and out while it’s being worked on. If you feel like you have to hold your breath to protect yourself, then it’s time to back off the pressure and come at the spot a little differently. Speed and pressure together determine the intensity.
