Your health is more than a number on the scale.

While BMI is a common metric, it doesn’t show the full picture. That’s where DXA Body Composition Analysis comes in.

This non-invasive scan measures fat, lean muscle, and bone density—giving you a detailed breakdown of what’s really happening inside your body.

✅ Understand your fat distribution
✅ Track muscle changes over time
✅ Identify hidden risk factors (even with a “normal” BMI)
✅ Support fitness or wellness goals with real data

It’s precision insight that can guide smarter, more personalized care.

When it comes to health, weight is only one piece of the puzzle. You’ve probably heard of BMI (Body Mass Index)—a quick calculation of height and weight used to categorize a person as underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. But here’s the truth: BMI doesn’t tell the whole story. For patie...

Got a callback after your mammogram? Don’t panic—it’s more common than you think.

A callback simply means your care team wants a closer look. It could be due to overlapping tissue, dense breasts, or just to rule out something benign.

Follow-up imaging like a diagnostic mammogram, ultrasound, or breast MRI helps provide clarity—especially if you have dense breast tissue or a higher risk profile.

These tools help ensure nothing is missed—and that you’re getting the most accurate, personalized care possible.

When it comes to beating breast cancer, early detection is everything—and annual screening mammograms are still the most powerful tool available. “Screening mammograms save lives by finding cancer while it’s still small and often before a lump can be felt,” says Dr. Amber Faast, a breast ima...

A cardiac calcium scoring (CCS) test offers you and your doctor a clearer picture of your risk for heart attack. This quick, non-invasive scan measures the amount of calcified plaque in your coronary arteries. The test involves minimal radiation and usually takes just 10–15 minutes. Ask your doctor if a CCS test might be right for you.

When it comes to treating complex women’s health issues, some of the most meaningful advances in recent years have come from a specialty many people still haven’t heard of: Interventional Radiology (IR).

One standout treatment offered at VIS of CORA is Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)—a minimally invasive procedure that targets fibroids at the source.

“Uterine fibroids are benign growths that can cause heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, or even infertility,” explains Ande DeMarco, PA-C. “At our outpatient clinic, we perform UFE by using microscopic beads to block blood flow to the fibroids. With no blood supply, the fibroids shrink over time and symptoms improve.”

Have you or your partner been diagnosed with BPH? If so, you'll want to know about PAE as a treatment option. Learn more at https://visofcora.com/mens-health/
