I’m back from 3 weeks vacation filled with rest, celebration, and time with some of my favorite people and my favorite band. Easing into my first week back at the office is a piece of cake, a slice of joy, and a warm heart. I love this work and adore each and every person who feels both comfort and transformation-as one client put it today-on my magical table. Many profound things have occurred this week and I’m grateful and pleased.

One thing to note about this review…they haven’t had back pain since their series…which was over a year ago

Today is my 50th birthday and I spent it at my office 😇 I’m so grateful to have this career and the most incredibly kind and generous clients- life it beautiful!!
✨
Soon I’ll be dancing to Phish at Sphere and soon enough I’ll be in Mexico with my closest friends from high school. Celebrations ahead!

Weiler is 14 today!! 11 years ago I adopted him as an approximately 3 year old rescue bub 🤗🐾🩷 Many of you have heard how serendipitously we were brought together. It was meant to be! Bubz is doing great, really great! We have a few smellathons a day, he’s still very agile, and he can even jump up on the couch still! He gets a breakfast treat every day and a pup cup with hidden treats every night. He’s a happy old man pookie. And he’s the perfect office bub, a total professional!! And has only farted in the office twice in the 11 months I’ve been in Bend 😆🤗😆 Happy adoptaversary + birthday to Bubs 💞🐾

✨🌀In the flow 🌀✨

It’s rare I have a cancellation but tis the season for illnesses to be making their rounds. Take care of yourselves and if you prefer I wear a mask while working (or if you need one) I have them in the office

I’ve found that the rare times I have space in my schedule it feels like universe simply insists I have a moment of space. And so…I’m getting in my steps, Weiler will get some extra smells along the river path, and I’ll take advantage of the rollers I have in my office that I recommend to all my clients 😇

Grateful for a high- five worthy session this morning, even Weiler got one! And always truly appreciate the moments of realization upon the faces of my clients when they realize…the work works.

This work is not fix it work
Is is an interoceptive approach to self
An observation
It’s window into the self, holding many moods and sensations…it’s a sunny day, a cloudy day, it’s a sunrise and a sunset. It all the weathers we might experience.
It’s an exteroceptive practice, it’s navigating our adaptability to what life brings us.

It’s personal work.
It’s physical work.
It’s introspective.
It’s curious.
It’s a state of mind.
Its playfulness.
It’s biomechanics, it’s neurobiology, it’s presence, and intention.

It’s life. It’s life changing.

It’s a healthy challenge and a beautiful journey, especially to witness those who bravely embark upon it 😌🙏

🪄This work is about balance, proprioception, the ability to have a felt sense of existing in your body through movement…yet I’m always happy to meet people in the cognitive realm to help them wrap their minds around the process, and always back to feeling into the body and connect with the changes we’ve created

🪄 This work, for me as a practitioner, is also about felt sense…I’m listening to the tissue, awaiting permission from the nervous system, and following where space is created. That said, when a client comes in with certain pain, at times it is possible to make sense of it even before tuning into the tissue, if a pain is happening somewhere- it could be because somewhere else is still in the process of coming online to offer support.

🪄Always listening to the tissue , applying structural knowledge, and of course- trusting in the magic of the series.

🪄My mentors and colleagues often talk about moving tissue…the above photo is expressive of what that means. Working with the tissue to create space for the tendon, definition around the ankles, and a soft heel to land on when walking offers a host of other benefits…more sensation, support, movement through the plantar fascia and less pain.

The work works.

I came across this photo and it reminded of a trip i took to Sedona, AZ where I went to a vortex spot with my friends. As I sat among the numerous stacks of rocks - I found myself realizing that each rock had a place where it would connect and create balance with another rock. That place where balance is possible to occur was already in existence- one just needed the patience to find it.

I’m so grateful for each of my clients who show up with presence, curiosity, and patience for process and are each enthusiastically finding peace and balance and even joy on this journey that the work provides.

I’m deeply honored to share this work to all who show up for the journey 🙏🏼😌
