It’s rare I have a cancellation but tis the season for illnesses to be making their rounds. Take care of yourselves and if you prefer I wear a mask while working (or if you need one) I have them in the office

I’ve found that the rare times I have space in my schedule it feels like universe simply insists I have a moment of space. And so…I’m getting in my steps, Weiler will get some extra smells along the river path, and I’ll take advantage of the rollers I have in my office that I recommend to all my clients 😇

Grateful for a high- five worthy session this morning, even Weiler got one! And always truly appreciate the moments of realization upon the faces of my clients when they realize…the work works.

Is is an interoceptive approach to self
An observation
It’s window into the self, holding many moods and sensations…it’s a sunny day, a cloudy day, it’s a sunrise and a sunset. It all the weathers we might experience.
It’s an exteroceptive practice, it’s navigating our adaptability to what life brings us.

It’s personal work.
It’s physical work.
It’s introspective.
It’s curious.
It’s a state of mind.
Its playfulness.
It’s biomechanics, it’s neurobiology, it’s presence, and intention.

It’s life. It’s life changing.

It’s a healthy challenge and a beautiful journey, especially to witness those who bravely embark upon it 😌🙏

🪄This work is about balance, proprioception, the ability to have a felt sense of existing in your body through movement…yet I’m always happy to meet people in the cognitive realm to help them wrap their minds around the process, and always back to feeling into the body and connect with the changes we’ve created

🪄 This work, for me as a practitioner, is also about felt sense…I’m listening to the tissue, awaiting permission from the nervous system, and following where space is created. That said, when a client comes in with certain pain, at times it is possible to make sense of it even before tuning into the tissue, if a pain is happening somewhere- it could be because somewhere else is still in the process of coming online to offer support.

🪄Always listening to the tissue , applying structural knowledge, and of course- trusting in the magic of the series.

🪄My mentors and colleagues often talk about moving tissue…the above photo is expressive of what that means. Working with the tissue to create space for the tendon, definition around the ankles, and a soft heel to land on when walking offers a host of other benefits…more sensation, support, movement through the plantar fascia and less pain.

I came across this photo and it reminded of a trip i took to Sedona, AZ where I went to a vortex spot with my friends. As I sat among the numerous stacks of rocks - I found myself realizing that each rock had a place where it would connect and create balance with another rock. That place where balance is possible to occur was already in existence- one just needed the patience to find it.

I’m so grateful for each of my clients who show up with presence, curiosity, and patience for process and are each enthusiastically finding peace and balance and even joy on this journey that the work provides.

I’m deeply honored to share this work to all who show up for the journey 🙏🏼😌

Every time- post session, I give a moment for a person to find words to express what feels new or different. If they struggle to find the words - I say what I see… and they end up sharing that that is what they feel as new in that moment…

I know I often share what my clients say but they say the grrrrEAtest things! 😆🙏🙌 We really have a lot of fun discovering, laughing, and unfolding the mysteries along the path of the journey of Structural Integration

Today as my client left my office they practically hollered into the waiting area as they opened the door upon exiting, “You’re gonna be booked!” 😂😜 I love it. The enthusiasm I’ve been hearing from clients who’ve repeatedly said, “I’m so glad I found you” lets me know that this work is needed.

I’m new to town, opened my practice May 27th…I have begun to book into the fall months and often let people know it’s good to grab the day and time that works best for your schedule and keep that for your series - so it’s always available to you. Many prefer that, though, booking alternate days, times, weeks is always an option as well.

There are many ways to describe this work. And many ways to go about sharing information. I could share a bit about structure, muscle function and the like, though there are some great influencers doing that on here and making incredible reels, which I, well…do not 😂

What I CAN share is that today… in order to regain function in the medial arch in a particular session 2 - to resolve plantar fasciitis pain and Achilles tendon tightness- we did knee bends (knee over foot standing) and knee raises/floats (supine) bringing the femur into lateral rotation and the tibia into medial rotation relieving knee pain as well and bringing a felt sense of legs feeling equal length. When my client stood to retest, I had to refrain from hollering,”wow!” and gave space for their response…which was jaw drop and arms lifted open as if to say,”whaaaat?!?” 🥳

It worked.

What we’re doing with this work is repatterning the ways in which your own body has taken shape to adapt to it’s environment…gravity

When your nervous system accepts the change and you begin to deeply connect with a new felt sense of existing…you get to keep it!

I love this work and I’m really appreciating the enthusiasm of my clients these days 🤗☺️🙏
