Dr. Arnold Gesell, M.D., was a psychologist and developmental pediatrician. He authored several books including The Child from Five to Ten. His pioneering work created the Gesell Institute of Human Development in 1950. He created standards of predictable patterns of growth of development in young children. Today the Institute focuses on educating and supporting teachers and parents in a variety of areas including how children grow and learn.

This amazing child graduated from vision therapy today. She worked super hard for a whole year and completely changed her life. She now wants to be a Vision Therapist when she grows up.🥰.

Her parents were so happy with vision therapy they donated $2000 to our scholarship program so other children can have access to VT. ❤️❤️❤️

Every day is special at our office, but yesterday we were recognized by the CEO of COPA (Central Oregon Pediatric Associates) for winning the Best of the Nest For 2021!!!
They gifted us the most amazing (and adorable) cookies from Sparrow Bakery right down the street. What a treat!
We are so excited to be seeing patients and developing vision for life for our Central Oregon community and beyond. Come in and SEE us! 😃

We are so proud to present that we have another VT graduate!
This was such a rewarding moment. The changes that this young man went through are too many to list. But I will share that when we started VT he would get fatigued from standing for 2-3 mins. Now he is able to process information and plan and visualize his way through anything without the cost of physical fatigue. Seriously, I would watch him melt into a puddle on the floor when he was asked to perform any visual skill. Now he says “what’s next?” I’m also proud to report that reading is now his favorite subject!!! It’s mine too so we get to share our love of books. What an amazing tale to tell. I’ll miss our weekly visits but I’m so excited to hear about how he is doing in 3 months at his post VT appointment. ~EP
