And then there's Shirlene Green—who shows up with heart, kindness, creativity, and enough energy to power the entire building.

This month, we’re honored to recognize Shirlene Green as our Employee of the Month at Bend Transitional Care!

The love and admiration from her coworkers is off the charts. From day-to-day kindness to her legendary ability to “just jump in wherever needed,” Shirlene’s name came up again and again—always followed by words like “positive,” “compassionate,” “reliable,” and “amazing.”

🗣 What does leadership mean to you?
"Leadership is about empowerment. A great leader doesn't just direct - they guide, support, and create an environment where others can thrive. My philosophy is built on trust, empathy, and open communication. I believe in listening to my team, understanding their strengths, and providing the resources they need to succeed.
For me, leadership is a continuous journey of learning and growth. It's about leading by example - demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to personal and professional development. When we approach leadership as a partnership, we can overcome challenges and celebrate our shared successes."

🗣 What's your vision for this year?
"My goal is to take our team and outcomes from great to exceptional. That means fostering a culture where empowerment, growth, and excellence are at the forefront. I want to challenge my team to push beyond their limits, reject complacency, and set a new standard of achievement.
