🚺🐱🐢 Spaying your female pet is an important step in helping keep them healthy. This procedure eliminates the risk of ovarian or uterine cancer, and uterine infections.

πŸ‘ In addition, spaying your pet decreases their mammary cancer risk, especially if the procedure is done before their first heat cycle.

If your pet’s trigger is something you cannot change, such as a loud thunderstorm, fireworks, or construction noise, try to create a positive association with the trigger. You can do this by offering your pet treats or playing a favorite game during the trigger event to distract and calm them. Over time, your pet may begin to associate the trigger with positive experiences and be less likely to bark.

Another strategy is to desensitize your pet to the trigger. This involves gradually exposing your pet to the trigger at a low level and rewarding calm behavior. For example, if your dog barks at passing cars, you could start by exposing them to a parked car at a distance and reward calm behavior, then gradually move closer to passing cars. This can be a slow process, but with consistency and patience, your pet can learn to remain calm in the presence of the trigger.

Finally, it’s important to ensure that your pet is getting enough physical and mental stimulation. Boredom and excess energy can lead to excessive barking. Make sure your pet is getting enough exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation such as puzzle toys or training exercises. A tired and happy pet is less likely to bark excessively.

Our furry friends have complex emotions too, and sometimes, they may exhibit signs of fear, anxiety, or stress.

😒 In addition to obvious signs like shaking or hiding, dogs may also use self-soothing motions like yawning or scratching to alleviate nervous energy. They may even exhibit displacement behaviors like sniffing or running in circles.

πŸ—πŸ₯¦πŸ₯©πŸΎ Is your pet's diet up to par? Just like with humans, nutrition is essential for our furry friends. After checking your pet's body condition score, take a closer look at what they're eating.

Does their food contain high-quality ingredients like lean proteins, complex carbs, and healthy fats? Or do they eat a "junk food" diet full of sugar and empty calories?

πŸ•πŸŸπŸ¦ Even small treats can add up quickly and provide little to no nutritional value.

🐢🐱 Evaluate your pet's daily diet to see if it needs adjusting. And don't hesitate to reach out to our team for help.

Choosing the appropriate diet for your pet can be challenging, but we're here to help. to talk to your veterinarian.

πŸ‘‰πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ Hey there, pet lovers! Here's a quick tip for you: Avoid feeding your furry friends onions, garlic, and chives!
