November’s Top Five Astro-Events

1. The Full Moon in Ta**us takes place on the 5th (8:19 am EST), emphasizing the need for stability, financial security, and staying with the tried and true. Problematically, these needs are greatly challenged over the preceding few days as Mars enters Sagittarius and immediately opposes Uranus at 0º Gemini.

2. Mercury turns retrograde at 6º51’ Sagittarius on the 9th. Those who have natal placements at 5º or 6º of the mutable signs are most influenced by this astro-event, especially regarding paperwork, appointments, and even re-evaluating your life path.

3. Jupiter trines Saturn all month creating a generally favorable atmosphere if you have planets at 24º or 25º of any sign. They remain within one degree of each other since both are stationing this month.

4. The Sun in Scorpio makes a Grand Trine with Jupiter and Saturn on the 17th. The exact aspects happen early in the morning. This astro-event bestows tremendous self-confidence, strong convictions, and the patience to carry out your plans and projects.

5. The New Moon in Scorpio arrives on the 20th (1:46 am EST) and conjoins Mercury retrograde and Black Moon Lilith. The three days leading up to the New Moon may be unusually active due to a Mars-Jupiter aspect.

The Chiron Return of Nixon’s Resignation

The 7 million protestors who rallied for No Kings 2.0 want to know when, or even if, the nation will be rid of Trump. The closest historic parallel to the Epstein Files scandal and Trump’s accompanying cover-up is the Watergate scandal, which unfolded in Nixon’s second term, culminating with his resignation in 1974. In my view, the best way to determine if Trump will resign or perhaps leave office for health reasons is to work with an accurate national horoscope.

A look at how Watergate’s astrological factors lined up with the US Scorpio Rising horoscope (2:21 pm; July 4, 1776) establishes a framework for evaluating current conditions. The first item to note is the tight stresses to the Sun at 13º12’ Cancer. This is significant because many good astrologers prefer a chart other than a Declaration of Independence (DOI) chart. Only on July 4, 1776 was the Sun at 13º Cancer.

Nixon gave his resignation speech at 8:00 pm on August 8, 1974. At the time, transiting Saturn was at 13º17’ Cancer and only 0º05’ from conjoining the US Sun. Transiting Saturn to the US Sun is a clear representation of leadership under pressure. Compounding this transit was progressed Mars at 13º20’ Libra — just 0º08’ past the square to the US Sun. And transiting Eris at 13º Aries made a dynamic T-square.

Another T-square in play was centered on the US Mercury at 24º15’ Cancer. Mercury, as the natural ruler of announcements, was activated by a square from transiting Uranus at 24º16’ Libra which was a mere 0º01’ past the exact square. Transiting Chiron was retrograding and at 24º26’ Aries where it applied to squaring the US Mercury with an orb of 0º11’.

These measurements would be tight for any DOI chart, but the activated Leo Midheaven and Scorpio Ascendant help to verify the 2:21 pm time. The transiting Sun, representing the leader in action, was located at 16º02’ Leo — only 0º06’ from conjoining the US Leo Midheaven. The Midheaven is always energized during historic moments. Leading up to Nixon’s resignation, the progressed Midheaven and progressed Chiron formed an octile (semisquare) in April 1973 when Nixon’s top three advisors resigned for covering up their involvement in the Watergate scandal.

After Nixon left office, the nation began a healing process. This is shown by progressed Hygeia at 8º25’ Scorpio where it conjoined the US Scorpio Ascendant (orb: 0º10’). Of course, Watergate wasn’t a singular event but a process that unfolded over the previous two years. This includes the progressed Sun conjunct the US Pluto in 1972 when Woodward and Bernstein broke the story about the White House’s involvement with the Watergate break-in.

The astrological parallels to today’s events are nothing short of amazing. The recent US Pluto Return resonates with the progressed Sun conjunct the nation’s Pluto during Watergate. And most importantly, the shame, anger, and wounding that many Americans feel about the Trump regime corresponds neatly to Chiron’s 51-year cycle in Aries: Nixon resigned 51 years ago.

Due to Chiron’s retrograde cycle, the Chiron Return of Nixon’s resignation takes place three times. The first one is now past (May 2025). The next one is this week, exact on October 26. The final one is on March 8, 2026. These transits present a window when Watergate and Nixon’s resignation echo Trump’s dilemma and options.

Also in March 2026, the US progressed Midheaven will be at 24º15’ Aries when it squares natal Mercury. Three months later, the US progressed Midheaven will be at 24º26’ Aries during the first week of June 2026. This greatly emphasizes the Chiron Return of Nixon’s resignation at 24º26’ Aries. Perhaps allow an orb of plus or minus three months for these two major astro-events.

As Nixon’s resignation speech demonstrated, the chart for such an historic event has several precise transits and progressions in play at the same time. Transiting Saturn will be in Aries and heading into a square with the US Sun in June 2026. The Saturn transit puts extra pressure on Trump. If the Nixon saga offers any clue, look for Trump’s congressional allies withholding their support to mark the beginning of the end.

The Epstein Files

A regular reader requests an update on Jeffrey Epstein’s chart now that his birth certificate has been found. AstroDataBank rates his 6:15 am birth time AA (January 20, 1953; NYC), and gives him 11º Capricorn Rising with Chiron nearby at 15º Capricorn. His Midheaven is 6º Scorpio. These angles and planets aspecting the angles are the most obvious archetypes shaping his personality and destiny.

For example, Jupiter at 11º Ta**us is tightly trine his Capricorn Ascendant, which brought him into close contact with wealthy clients, beginning with his Wall Street financial enterprise. His Venus-Mars conjunction at 15-16º Pisces s*xtiles his Chiron, indicating how s*x trafficking eventually shaped his business personality (Capricorn Ascendant). The partnership asteroid Juno is also in this mix (conjunct Mars), which readily represents his close collaboration with Ghislaine Maxwell.

Epstein has a tight conjunction between his assertive Aries Moon and the troublemaking outer planet Eris, both at 7º Aries. They’re located in the 3rd house of travel and form the tightest and defining aspect to his Scorpio Midheaven. Symbolically, this readily translates into the s*x trafficking business, the jetsetting of the rich and famous to exotic locales with young women.

At 6:30 am on August 10, 2019 Epstein was found unresponsive in his jail cell, apparently dying of su***de by hanging himself. Transiting Uranus at the time was at 6º36’ Ta**us — to-the-minute opposite his Scorpio Midheaven. This unexpected development in his pending trial fits perfectly with this transit. It verifies the 6:15 am birth time.

With an accurate natal chart, astrologers can get a better picture of what’s happening with the Epstein Files. The public’s current fascination with Epstein is shown astrologically by the outer planets Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all entering new signs. From these positions, they all aspected Epstein’s Sun at 0º Aquarius.

Mercury is the natural ruler of documents, but the third house Moon-Eris duo best identifies the vast trove of interviews with victims, photos of clients with young women, and items confiscated during raids. The potentially powerful revelations they could bring are shown by the Moon-Eris’s precise trioctile (sesquiquadrate or 135º aspect) to Pluto at 22º Leo (orb: 0º19’). Trump’s Sun at 22º Gemini makes a tight s*xtile to Epstein’s Pluto, suggesting that Trump’s presence on the list is real.

A major split in Trump’s loyal base erupted on July 7, the day transiting Uranus entered divisive Gemini. That’s when the Justice Department announced that no more of the Epstein Files would be circulated despite Attorney General Pam Bondi’s previous statements that a truckload of evidence was about to be released, including a client list.

The Wall Street Journal quickly stepped in and reported ten days later (July 17) about a birthday letter Trump sent to Epstein for his 50th birthday. The Trump letter ends with “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” At the time, Epstein’s progressed horoscope was showing a T-square with his progressed Moon in the 10th house at 21º Scorpio opposite progressed Jupiter at 21º Ta**us and both squaring progressed Pluto at 21º Leo.

The smoking gun (Trump’s birthday card) reappeared on September 9, 2025 when the actual image of the card was first made public. At this time, the Full Moon at 15º Pisces landed right on Epstein’s Mars-Venus conjunction. Trump’s unmistakable signature was lewdly placed on the cartoon drawing that encapsulated his greeting. And transiting Pluto at 1º Aquarius was close to Epstein’s Aquarius Sun and perfectly octile his Venus at 16º Pisces (orb: 0º00’).

The release of the Epstein File awaits the confirmation of Arizona’s recently elected congresswoman Adelita Grijalva, who will provide the decisive 51st vote in Congress. Trump ally Mike Johnson has so far refused to swear her in, and has blamed the government shutdown. Following this logic, Trump has a huge incentive to keep the shutdown going as long as possible while he concocts other major distractions.

Meanwhile, as transiting Uranus retrogrades back to 0º00’ Gemini, we have the historic No Kings Day protests on October 18. Also this week, Pluto is turning direct while octile Epstein’s Venus, continuing the focus on his association with young women escorts.

Trump and the Mars Factor

Given that President Trump has recently renamed the Defense Department the Department of War, it takes no leap of imagination to know that Mars is a major factor in his current astrological profile. Both natally, by transit, and secondary progression, Mars has become a key celestial player. That’s especially true when comparing his chart to the US national horoscope.

His natal Mars in Leo conjoins his Leo Ascendant, thereby becoming the most angular and dominant planet. This placement readily identifies him as narcissistic, a term referring to an individual who has an unreasonably high sense of his own importance. In itself, it’s not necessarily a serious character flaw since most politicians can be said to be narcissistic, otherwise they wouldn’t seek office. However, some psychoanalysts have called Trump a “malignant narcissist”, but that’s another story….

Trump’s Sun at 22º Gemini is closely conjunct the US Mars at 21º Gemini, adding another layer of martial energy to his role in American politics. His Sun conjoins Uranus at 17º Gemini, giving him an impulsive, eccentric nature, especially when it comes to being the Commander-in-Chief. By secondary progression, his Uranus has advanced a few degrees and now stands at 21º30’ Gemini — less than ¼º from the US Mars at 21º17’ Gemini.

Recent news has been full of Mars-related events instigated by Trump. Just last week, he and his Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, gathered all the US generals from around the world for a highly unusual gathering at Quantico. Trump threatened the generals to go along with his political plans or they could leave. He told them they could be sent to blue cities like Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia that will be used as military training grounds and to fight “the enemy within”.

Trump has two major progressed aspects involving Mars that are exact this month. These are his progressed Mars octile (semisquare) his Ascendant, and progressed Mercury conjunct natal Mars. Currently, his progressed Mars is at 14º55’ Libra and advancing 0º39’/year. So, although this aspect is exact this month, it remains within effective orb for at least six more months. Progressed Mercury advances nearly two degrees/year. It will conjoin natal Mars on October 20, and will continue to manifest in highly visible ways for at least three more months.

One chief trait of his Mercury-Mars combination is the tendency to talk non-stop. Geminis in general like to yammer on and on, but under this Mercury-Mars duo, it has become an obvious behavior pattern. And critics like to point out that his statements are often totally irrelevant to the subject at hand. Although the major news media are ignoring Trump’s many verbal blunders and inconsistencies, it’s becoming quite apparent that he’s under the growing influence of dementia.

Astrologically, this can be seen in the destabilizing effects of the transiting Saturn-Neptune conjunction. Saturn and Neptune are going back and forth over the Pisces-Aries cusp, and in so doing, both make a quincunx (150º) to his Leo Ascendant. Spacey Neptune happens to be precisely quincunx his Ascendant on October 25.

However, it doesn’t matter if Trump is losing sight of his personal empowerment agenda. He has a cadre of rightwing advisors to carry on, most notably Russ Vought, Trump’s OMB director and chief author of the controversial Project 2025. Although Trump denied knowing anything about Project 2025 during last year’s campaign, every step he’s taken to strengthen the executive branch is directly derived from Project 2025.

Vought was given an extra dose of aggressiveness by being born with his Aries Sun square Mars in Cancer on March 26, 1976. His Aries Sun is exactly conjunct Trump’s Eris at 6º Aries, making Vought the chief personification of Trump’s troublemaking Eris instincts. Vought’s Saturn at 26º Cancer makes a precise quincunx to Trump’s Mars, which suggests the control or guidance he provides to Trump’s self-expression.

October’s Top Five Astro-Events

1. Venus in Virgo makes a series of aspects to the outer planets from the 10th through 14th, and these are both favorable and challenging at the same time. The challenge arrives on the 10th as Venus enters into an opposition to Saturn.

2. Chiron conjoins Eris on the 8th, but these two are less than ½º from each other all month. This combination is especially stressful for those with key planets at 24º to 26º of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) since they are in Aries and tend to over-react to any challenges or difficult situations.

3. Pluto turns direct on the 13th, the same day it forms a fateful octile (semisquare) to the North Node in Pisces. If you have your Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or other important placement in a tight aspect with Pluto at 1º Aquarius, then your life is at a pivot point, a fundamental change of momentum and direction.

4. Jupiter in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries on the 23rd, a potentially stressful dynamic since Eris in Aries is nearby. This combination is especially favorable for considering the holistic picture, how your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being influences physical health.

5. The New Moon at 28º Libra takes place on the 21st (8:24 am EDT) and is within 4º of aspecting six outer planets. It portends not only changes in your personal relationships, but also in the larger social, political, and/or financial framework.

Jimmy Kimmel, Government Shutdown, and the US Chart

As described last week, and based on the Scorpio Rising US horoscope, we’re heading into some difficult times. Long term, we have the cyclical return of Uranus to its natal location at 8º54’ Gemini. And in the immediate short-term situation, the US progressed Midheaven at 23º44’ Aries is stressfully applying to octile (semisquare) natal Uranus with an orb of only 0º10’.

If Uranus in Gemini represents anything, it’s freedom of speech. The recently assassinated Charlie Kirk was a firm believer in freedom of speech as well as a close ally to President Trump. Last week following ABC’s stunning suspension of late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel — a regular critic of Trump — a stormy wave of rage swept across the country over the blatant hypocrisy.

And over the coming week, a government shutdown is becoming increasingly more likely. This all unfolds in step with the US progressed Midheaven octile natal Uranus in the 8th house of budgets. The transits and other progressions mark individual surprises within this progressed Midheaven-Uranus dynamic. For example, the day Kimmel was fired, the transiting Sun was at 25º Virgo where it activated the US progressed Neptune at 25º Virgo, and both quincunx the US Moon at 25º Aquarius.

Will the government shutdown begin on October 1? The indicators are mixed, with transiting Saturn at 27º Pisces s*xtile the US Pluto (the nation’s ruling planet) offering a way out. However, other indicators suggest a standoff is in play. These include transiting Mars at 6º Scorpio exactly opposite progressed Venus at 6º Ta**us (with transiting Mars only 2º from the Scorpio Ascendant). Another factor is the long-term feisty framework of the progressed Sun (leadership) at 20º50’ Pisces square natal Mars at 21º17 Gemini.

A look at the most enduring government shutdown offers additional clues. This unfolded during Trump’s first term in office from midnight December 22, 2018 through January 25, 2019 for a total of 35 days. The divisive issue was the funding of the border wall with Mexico. The standoff had been developing since early 2018 as the progressed Midheaven at 16º Aries opposed progressed Black Moon Lilith at 16º Libra. The government shutdown unfolded as transiting Saturn in Capricorn opposed the US Cancer Sun. Resolution was reached in late January 2019 as transiting Mars at 16º Aries conjoined the progressed Midheaven at 16º Aries. Both were trine transiting Jupiter at 16º Sagittarius with all three trine the Midheaven at 16º Leo to make a harmonious Grand Trine.

The details of these national events fit precisely with the 2:21 pm July 4, 1776 national horoscope. If the national horoscope you’re using doesn’t show these kinds of tight correlations, isn’t it time to change? Another example of why the US Midheaven is located at 16º08 Leo can be seen in the January 6, 2021 Capital Riot. Trump’s speech egged on the violent protestors as the US progressed Sun was at 16º06’ Pisces. This was only 0º02’ from forming a precise quincunx to the US Midheaven.

The health asteroid Hygeia is worth mentioning since it’s the most elevated placement in the US chart. Natally, it’s located at 25º22’ Leo and tightly opposite the US Moon at 25º28’ Aquarius. Hygeia symbolizes not only the people’s interest in health care but in the 10th house may also refer to the health of the world’s ideal democracy. From 1776 to the Capital Riot in 2021, Hygeia had progressed to 16º10’ Scorpio where it formed an exact square to the US Midheaven (orb: 0º02’), severely shaking the US’s international reputation.

One of the main issues driving the current budget standoff is the Democrats’ interest in refunding Medicaid, Obamacare tax credits, and other health benefits gutted by Trump’s “big, beautiful bill”. Astrologically, this can be seen in the progressed Part of Fortune at 25º Leo, exactly conjunct natal Hygeia. The transiting Chiron-Eris conjunction at 25º Aries activates this configuration.

The 84-Year Uranus in Gemini Cycle

The US national horoscope is generally set for the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Numerous variations are in common circulation depending on the exact time used. I regularly use 2:21 pm which gives 8º35’ Scorpio Rising and 16º08’ Leo at the Midheaven. But no matter what time of day is used, Uranus is located at 8º54’ Gemini.

And what many politically oriented astrologers have noted is that the US regularly goes through intense life-and-death wars as the 84-year Uranus cycle comes around. At the time of the Declaration, the Revolutionary War was already underway, not ending until the Treaty of Paris on September 3, 1783 acknowledged the independence of the thirteen colonies. Transiting Uranus at this time was in Cancer and conjunct the US Sun.

A little over 84 years later, on April 12, 1861, the US Civil War erupted. Transiting Uranus at this time was at 9º21’ Gemini and had just completed its third and final cyclical conjunction with natal Uranus a week earlier. To better understand the use of the Scorpio Rising chart, progressed Mars at this time was at 16º06’ Leo and exactly conjunct the US Leo Midheaven. The Civil War ended after General Lee surrendered on April 9, 1865. At the time, transiting Saturn was at 27º33’ Libra and precisely square the US Pluto (orb: 0º00’). Lincoln was assassinated five days later.

The next Uranus cyclical conjunction to its natal location took place during World War II. Global forces were already deep in military conflict by the time Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 when the US officially entered the war. Although Uranus hadn’t yet entered Gemini, it was a key agent in activating US military power: transiting Uranus at 27º39’ Ta**us was exactly trine the US Pluto (orb: 0º06’).

Pluto is further emphasized by its rise in the US horoscope. Throughout the US’s WW2 military involvement, transiting Pluto was in early Leo and squaring the US Scorpio Ascendant. On the decisive launch of D-Day on June 6, 1944, transiting Uranus was at 9º20’ Gemini and only one week past its conjunction with natal Uranus. Then, when the US dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, transiting Uranus was exactly s*xtile the US Leo Midheaven. Transiting Pluto was also heading to a conjunction with the US Midheaven over the next few years, which established it as the world’s reigning superpower.

And now, we are once again heading into a Uranus Return. At the moment, transiting Uranus is in early Gemini but retrograde and heading back into Ta**us. As in the previous cycles, political, military, and social agendas are becoming noticeably more extreme. And this time we might add environmental extremes under the growing pressure of global warming. Within the US, polarization is on the rise. Compromise, negotiation, and mutual respect are rarely seen.

Although the disruptive nature of this cycle is apparent, it doesn’t have to bring absolute turmoil. Much depends on other cycles and how they weave into this one. For example, transiting Pluto is in Aquarius, which resonates with the US Moon in Aquarius. It suggests that the people have the power to right any government over-reach. Pluto’s 254-year orbit tells us that something new is unfolding during this Uranus in Gemini cycle.

In the short term, the US natal Uranus is under immediate stress from the progressed Midheaven, now located at 23º43’ Aries. This progressed Midheaven forms an octile (semisquare, or 45º) to natal Uranus with an applying orb of 0º11’. It will be exact in two months, which implies we’re in for some major disruption and soon. One likely scenario is a government shutdown when the money runs out on September 30. Another is Trump’s deteriorating health, and there are likely more — as yet unknown — surprises headed our way….

JD Vance’s Elevated Ceres

Recently, during Trump’s unexplained absence from his daily media appearances, JD Vance said he was prepared to run the country. “Yes, terrible tragedies happen,” he said. “And if, God forbid, there’s a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten over the last 200 days.”

Given the growing concerns about Trump’s health, it’s time to have a look at Vance’s horoscope. Fortunately, we have an accurate birth time for him (8:11 am; August 2, 1984; Middletown, OH), which puts his Leo Sun in the 12th house where it conjoins the partnership asteroid Juno. Not surprisingly, Vance has made his way into the American political arena via his strategic partnerships.

Vance’s chart is unusual in that Ceres is the most elevated placement. The milestones in his life are closely associated with major transits and/or progressions involving his Ceres. For example, Vance first came to conservatives’ attention after his book Hillbilly Elegy was published in June 2016. At the time, transiting Pluto was forming a supportive trine to his Ceres, which is less than 4º from conjoining his Midheaven.

Vance’s natal Ceres forms a tight connection with Jupiter: Ceres is trioctile (135º) Jupiter (orb: 0º32’). Jupiter in ambitious Capricorn furthers his professional aspirations through fortunate financial affairs (Ceres in Ta**us). Vance made his political intentions known in December 2016 when he moved to Ohio and considered running for office. However, not until February 24, 2021 did he receive the financial assistance he needed to assure victory.

That’s when a super PAC was formed to support his run as the GOP nominee for senator. Billionaire Peter Thiel donated $10 million to this PAC which readily translated into victory by the time of the 2022 election. As this PAC was formed and the campaign rolled on, transiting Pluto (representing billionaires) was trine his progressed Ceres at 24º Ta**us.

Ceres continued to be front and center when Trump picked Vance to be his vice president on July 16, 2024. At this point, Vance had a double activation of his natal Ceres: transiting Saturn at 19º Pisces formed a nice s*xtile to natal Ceres, while his progressed Sun at 18º53’ Virgo was only 0º09’ from a favorable trine to natal Ceres.

Since Vance was born, his progressed Ceres has advanced a little over 6º, but that puts it at a critical point with respect to the national horoscope. Natal or progressed planets to the US Moon at 25º Aquarius (using the Scorpio Rising chart) are key to getting public approval and support. The national Moon represents the people’s moods, security issues, and instinctive connections to candidates and public figures.

Trump has his natal Venus at 25º Cancer and his progressed Jupiter at 25º Libra, which make the necessary emotional bonds with the American people (at least a faction of them). Vance has no natal placement at 25º, but now his progressed Ceres is at 25º Ta**us. As we have seen, activation of this Ceres brings major advances in his public role.

And that’s exactly what is shaping up over the next few months. Transiting Saturn is now retrograding through Pisces and will turn direct on November 27 at 25º09’ Pisces. For the entire months of November and December it remains in 25º Pisces and favorably s*xtile his progressed Ceres at 25º05’ Ta**us. This in itself is highly auspicious for increased recognition and support from his political allies.

And then on November 11, transiting Jupiter makes its retrograde station at 25º09’ Cancer, which is also very favorably s*xtile Vance’s progressed Ceres. As transiting Jupiter and Saturn station in November, they’re trine to each other and both s*xtile Vance’s progressed Ceres. All these interactions are also contacting the US Moon at 25º Aquarius. This suggests that over the next few months, something big is unfolding in the White House, and it’s very favorable for the vice president.

Trump’s Chronic Venous Insufficiency

What’s going on with Trump’s right hand and swollen ankles? After a round of dubious explanations, the White House Press Secretary read a note from Trump’s physician on July 17 saying that an exam “revealed chronic venous insufficiency” or CVI. Although the message added that Trump remains in excellent health, CVI is often associated with more serious conditions, including congestive heart failure.

Curiously, the announcement came as the transiting Sun was at 25º Cancer and squaring the outer planet Eris at 25º Aries. Trump’s natal Venus is located at 25º Cancer, so it was activated in a major way as the world learned that Trump has venous insufficiency. Normally, there’s no link between venous and Venus, but the cause of CVI is closely related to the conditions around Trump’s Venus.

Two weeks ago, I wrote about Trump’s top seven progressions, with #4 explaining how his progressed Jupiter brought him luck and protection. His progressed Jupiter at 25º Libra is tightly linked to the US Moon at 25º Aquarius, giving him close rapport with a faction of the American voting public. His progressed Venus at 24º Libra is nearly conjunct his progressed Jupiter, which only makes him more popular among his supporters.

However, these progressed benefics have a negative side, and that’s the tendency for self-indulgence. Eating rich foods is common, and Trump’s addiction to junk food comes under this heading. Note that Trump’s progressed Venus-Jupiter conjunction squares his natal Venus, which only increases his interest in packaged snacks and lack of interest in getting any amount of exercise to increase the circulation in his legs. Venus-Jupiter combos are renowned for provoking laziness, and in Trump’s case, swelling.

Traditionally, the 6th house is associated with health issues. Trump’s 6th house has 1º Aquarius on the cusp, and since transiting Pluto is now at 1º Aquarius, several astrologers have pointed out the possibility of serious health issues. These may become evident when transiting Pluto makes aspects to other natal or progressed planets around the chart while passing through his 6th house. And as noted in Trump’s progressions, he has his progressed Ascendant at 3º Scorpio squaring his progressed Saturn at 3º Leo. Transiting Pluto reached 3º Aquarius in May when it turned retrograde, and this is exactly when the swollen ankles became widely discussed in news reports.

Transiting Pluto returns to 3º Aquarius early next year, once again activating this underlying progressed condition. That tells us that this health issue is not going away and could very well be serious. However, over the next two months two simultaneous astrological developments are in play. The first is transiting Pluto stationing direct at 1º Aquarius while squaring Trump’s progressed Hygeia at 1º Ta**us.

Hygeia, the fourth largest asteroid, is named after the Greek goddess of health. In natal horoscopes, Hygeia’s activation when afflicted can show the timing of significant health issues. Her exact progressed position in Trump’s chart is 1º38’ Ta**us. Transiting Pluto turns direct on October 13 at 1º22’ Aquarius (in his 6th house). Over the coming two months, transiting Pluto will be less than 0º12’ from squaring his progressed Hygeia.

The second development is a conjunction between transiting Chiron and Eris at 25º16’ Aries, exact on October 8. Over the next two months, it will be less than ½ a degree from squaring his natal Venus and opposing his progressed Jupiter. Together, these two configurations unfold as the transits hit the progressions that align with the natal. Since the US Moon is also involved, these simultaneous multi-planet dynamics could very well coincide with a health incident that dramatically moves the national mood. The worst-case scenario for Trump is congestive heart failure.
