One last treat and appreciation gift for our nurses this week as we finish up celebrating National Nurses Week. They are a treasure and we are happy to recognize their compassionate care to our residents. Next week is National Nursing Home Week and more fun is coming our way.

Continuing to celebrate our Nurses this week by treating them to an ice cream sundae bar! Make your own Sundae was a big hit and well deserved to these hardworking employees. The caring, skill and compassion they show each day is an amazing asset to our facility. THANK YOU!

It's National Nurses Day. We are celebrating their dedication and commitment to their patients and their profession. Tell someone about the excellent care you've received from a nurse! Crescent Manor would like to salute all our nurses for their great work ethic and kindness that they show each day to residents and families.

The beautiful warm weather and sunshine last week had the residents ready to do a little pre-gardening. When the time comes they will help plants some beautiful flowers and more.

April is Occupational Therapy Month! Enriching lives through meaningful engagement is at the core of the occupational therapy profession. Crescent Manor salutes their wonderful team of OTs for all their dedication and hard work.

The Activities Department and Administration at Crescent Manor are great at celebrating the holidays. For Easter the residents got to color eggs, had special treats and games and were visited by the Easter Bunny. On Easter Sunday there was a dinner where friends and family could come eat with their loved ones. The staff were treated to a candy bar and an Easter egg hunt of six large eggs with great gifts inside. It was a fun weekend for all.

Our Activities Director, Emily Jefferson, and her talented staff have been doing a fabulous job on our bulletin boards around the facility. No matter if it's a holiday, a change in season or just something fun they are bringing smiles and color to our residents.

March is National Nutrition Month. Our Nutritionist, Courtney Lefcourt, along with our Activities Director organized a healthy yogurt parfait bar. Residents could create their own with toppings of their choice. They also got to enjoy cottage cheese muffins and various flavors of smoothies including strawberry banana.

All the leprechauns were out to have fun yesterday while celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Residents enjoyed games, a traditional corned beef and cabbage lunch and homemade Shamrock Shakes for desserts.
