Today’s scripture is based on the Sword of the spirit. Interesting all this time I imaged a large sword swinging in battle. However as I read this devotional they have a different look at it. The word sword in the armor is a dagger used for close quarter battles. This is a frontal assault on your life, your world, your family, your mind and your circumstances. The sword is the only offensive weapon in the armor of God, because Satan is allergic to scripture. He must flee when it’s quoted. In Matthew 4 where Jesus was attacked by the devil agter 49 days and nights with no food saying then stone into bread, he quotes his father men can’t live in bread alone. Throw yourself off the mountain angels will save you if you are who you are. Devil says and again Jesus uses scripture. Don’t put the lord your God to test.
Jesus does this because the devil knows scripture but can’t handle the words of God coming back at him like he is allergic to it. So let’s give the devil a huge allergy attack causing the flu so he must flee in the name of Jesus!!!
The more scripture we can throw at the devil the more effective we can be in Battle!!!
Prayer and scripture a day keeps the devil away!!
