We couldn’t be more thrilled—Bennington’s downtown just got a whole lot brighter! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out today to welcome Bennington Family Eyecare into our community. It was a ribbon-cutting full of smiles, high-fives, and hometown pride.

Please join us in sending a warm downtown welcome to our dynamic duo, Shawn & Dr. Mercedes Smith:

Shawn (a NJ native) and Dr. Mercedes (hailing from sunny Long Beach, CA) found each other in Philadelphia—and instantly became more than just partners in life.

Their shared dream? A practice where Mercedes would deliver heartfelt patient care and Shawn would bring the business savvy. In 2021, that dream began in Springfield, VT—and now, five years later, they’re expanding to downtown Bennington!

When the opportunity came up to move into the historic Moulton’s Spectacle Shoppe location, they leapt at the chance—falling in love with its perfect setting in our vibrant heart of town.

Their shared dream? A practice where Mercedes would deliver heartfelt patient care, and Shawn would bring the business savvy. In 2021, that dream began in Springfield, VT—and now, five years later, they’re expanding to downtown Bennington! We are very fortunate to have them join our community!
