🩸REMINDER: BPD Blood Drive Returns May 11!

Want to give blood and support your local police department and community? Sign up today!

The Benson Police Department will host a blood drive on May 11 at Town Hall (303 E. Church Street) from 1pm to 6pm. This initiative — in partnership with The Blood Connection community blood center — will take place during National Police Week.

🚌 The location for the drive will be the Benson Conference Center parking lot at Town Hall, the Blood Connection bus will be stationed there throughout the afternoon to receive donor appointments.

🩸 According to The Blood Connection, anyone, regardless of age, can donate if they pass the blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and iron test. In addition, if someone takes high blood pressure medication they can still be eligible to donate as long as they feel healthy — the same applies to someone with high blood sugar.
