Our Story
Dr. Miranda Y. Pearson, LPCS, LCAS-A, NCC, BCC, CSOTP, MAC, BC-TMH is a licensed public school teacher, counselor, administrator, and ordained minister. Having been in public education since 1996, Dr. Miranda has taught English at Goldsboro High School, in Goldsboro, NC, served as a high school counselor, as well as an Assistant Principal Intern, both at Princeton High School, in Princeton, NC and a District Administrator of At-Risk Services and Mediator for Harnett County Schools. Having left public education in June of 2015, she is currently the Owner/Clinical Director of Divine Appointment Counseling Services, PA, in Benson, NC.
Dr. Miranda is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate, a National Certified Counselor, Board Certified Coach, Certified S*x Offender Treatment Provider, Master Addictions Counselor and a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider.
Dr. Miranda earned her B.S. in English from Radford University, in Radford, VA; MA in Christian Counseling from Andersonville Baptist Seminary, in Camilla, GA; MSA in School Administration, and a MS in Counselor Education, both from East Carolina University, in Greenville, NC; and earned a doctorate in Human Services, from Capella University, with a specialization in Counseling Studies. She has also completed a specialized certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Contemporary Theory of Addictive Behavior from Capella University.
