Bartha Daugherty Wise, 90 of Bryant, passed away on March 1, 2021. She was born on December 24, 1930 in Bauxite to the late Albert and Ona Davis Daugherty. Bartha was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and was retired from the Circuit Clerks office. Bartha loved singing

Happy Memorial Day! Although we would love nothing more than a big gathering to remember those that gave their lives to defend our freedom; today we will honor them with a door to door delivery of a grilled burger and the fixings to our neighbors and friends. Stay safe everyone, we miss you!

Covid -19 update- We know these are scary times, but we also know God’s protection from this virus is there for us too. We have taken the necessary steps to keep everyone safe by stopping all gatherings a few weeks ago. We need our residents help to keep this virus out of our village. Please limit visitors coming over except for necessary checkups. Example, someone delivering groceries or medications. A group of people coming over for a rousing game of cards might be fun, but it could be deadly for your friends and neighbors or yourselves. We have many people at the village with weakened immune systems and lung functions, fighting cancer, diabetes, etc. Please practice social distancing, call a friend, work a puzzle , read a book, binge watch Netflix. Many universities are offering free classes...I’m talking Harvard & other Ivey league colleges. With everyone’s cooperation, none of us will get this horrible virus. Thank you for helping us, we love and miss you all. Please share this message and help get the word out, stay home and stay safe. Your generation, has suited up and ran off to fight the enemy face to face in prior times; now we need all generations to stay home and sit on the couch to win this battle. We can do it!

I want to say thank you to all of the Waverly ladies and gentlemen that surprised me tonight with a bench in memory of my mom. It’s so special to me. I love you all.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I apologize for being out of touch the last couple of weeks to anyone I have failed to return calls and messages. My mother has been my priority the last couple of weeks. Please bear with us a while longer. Moms memorial visitation will be tonight at Pinecrest Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00.

We would like to say thank you to all who served our country in the armed services. We honored our Waverly Heights Veterans today. PN2 Kathy Doland - was presented with a flag that was flown at the Arkansas State Capital in her honor by Representative Kim Hammer.
