One question that I am asked a lot is "Do you take insurance?"
I am in network with Aetna, Ambetter, Qualchoice, United Healthcare, and UMR. Most plans cover lactation appointments with cost ranging from $0-60 per appointment. This includes most PPO, POS and some other plan types.
I am able to accept Cigna plans through a partnership with Wildflower.
I am able to provide in network care for BCBS through a partnership with Lactation Consultants of America. The coverage for BCBS is going to be dependent on your plan and does vary widely. You can verify BCBS coverage by asking your insurance "What is my in-network coverage for lactation services under CPT code S9443 with diagnosis code Z39.1 billed in a professional (not facility) setting?"
If your insurance does not cover lactation care in a professional setting, self-pay options include HSA and FSA cards because lactation services are eligible expenses.
I hope to add even more plans, including Medicaid, when Arkansas's new lactation law goes into effect January 2026.
