Here are a few ways to navigate the day:

🍀 Choose an alternative: Try an Irish-inspired meal, a cooking night at home, or live music in a setting that isn’t centered around drinking.
🍀 Set a time limit: If you attend a gathering, give yourself a clear window and permission to leave early.
🍀 Bring your own drink: Having something in hand can reduce pressure and help you feel more comfortable.
🍀 Have an exit strategy: Drive yourself, keep a ride option ready, and plan what you’ll say if you need to leave (“I’ve got an early morning” works just fine).
🍀 Stay connected: Check in with a sponsor, friend, or support system before and after.

You don’t have to navigate today alone. Small, intentional choices can help you protect your progress.

Different can still feel good—and safe.

Tonight was wonderful at the Saline Memorial hospital Heart of Art show. The kiddos showing off their skills of showing heart, compassion, and love in such an amazing way. Thank you to the kiddos, hospital staff, teachers, adults of the kiddos, and so many others.
