Our community is grieving in a way that words can hardly hold.
The loss of so many young lives—through both violence and tragedy—has left a deep ache that is being felt by every parent, every friend, every neighbor. There is no “right way” to process something this heavy. If you feel numb, overwhelmed, angry, confused, or completely heartbroken… you are not alone.
In moments like this, it’s important to remember:
* It’s okay to pause. You don’t have to be strong all the time.
* It’s okay to talk about it—or to not have the words yet.
* It’s okay to lean on others, even if you don’t know exactly what you need.
For parents: your children may not have the language to express what they’re feeling. You may notice changes in sleep, mood, or behavior. The most important thing you can offer right now is presence, reassurance, and a safe space to talk.
For those grieving: there is no timeline for healing. Be gentle with yourself in the days ahead.
For our entire community: we get through this together—not by having all the answers, but by showing up for one another.
If you or someone you love needs support during this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You don’t have to carry this alone.
With compassion,
Kyle Nardini
