Today is a great day to think about fear, and trust.

The world can be a scary place! Our fears of failure, of want, of falling behind, of change, and the ever present demands, the anger, the uncertainty of your future can get pretty loud, drowning out everything else.

What do you lean on, when you’re surrounded by fear? God. God’s word, God’s love, and God’s promise shields us, shelters us, and holds us fast in those moments of fear.

God will show up in moments of fear for you, whether you notice Him or not. But by turning toward your faith and away from fear, that shining light in the dark can show you just how beloved and blessed you truly are.

There’s no greater way to ease your fears than trusting in the Lord!

Share with us in the comments: when you’re knee-deep in fear, how do you find the strength to turn in trust toward God?

Chances are, if you’re seeing this post, you’re already living and acting in bold faith at least some of the time. Through the reflections, scripture readings, and joyful, inspiring connections made in October, you’ve likely expanded your practice, believing boldly even in moments where doubt and fear urge you to falter.

Think back on your month. Where did you live in bold faith? Were all the moments on purpose, or did you find yourself boldly believing, even when seeing felt impossible, without even meaning to?

Consider how you can boldly believe in the coming months. How can this faith practice carry you to the New Year, and beyond?

If you feel called to share with like-minded, faith-fueled women just like you, come see how the community at thebestME is sharing, growing, and thriving in the Lord!

Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb”, wrap up that last email, and find a quiet space where you can be alone. Once it’s just you and the Lord, take some time to remember times He has offered you true, soul-deep rest and peace. How did God lead you there?

There is a sacredness to rest. We are called to rest in the Lord. Christ promises to bear the burdens of those who believe, so that we can rest. God offers a clear, lighted path toward true rest of the soul.

In a culture where looking busy and staying stressed is celebrated, looking to the Lord for true soul rest is a remarkable act of faith and trust.

What helps your soul rest? Come share your story of God’s leadership in your life at thebestME., and witness other women as they gather to give voice to the sacred truths God has guided them to learn.

Do you have a minute? Take out your journal, or open your Notes app, and answer the following question: What myths have you been taught about rest?

It’s for lazy people. It’s gotta be earned. It should be productive. It can wait. It’s for the weak.

All these harsh words for a concept the Lord not only allows us to enjoy, but urges us to do in his name!

We think God said it best:

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:4

We were not formed to worship hustling and hurrying. We were formed to praise God, live our lives in faith-first rhythms that heed our calling, and to rest when we need.

Share with us below: when has God called you to rest? How did that rest nourish and strengthen your body, mind, and soul?

Today is the day!

I’ve been waiting for today for a long time. A lifetime, in fact. Today is the launch day for BalancedMe.

Through so many phases of my life, I needed to be in fellowship with women like me. Women ready for something different, women ready to look to God first to light the way, women who crave connection in faith that offers healing and peace.

I wasn’t always able to find balance in life, but the one thing I could always return to was my faith. I was guided to create BalancedMe because it’s exactly what I have needed in the past, and want to share with other women who, like me, know God is the constant that will always lead us back to ourselves.

So today is the day! Are you ready to find balance? Are you ready to use therapeutic tools anchored in faith? Are you ready to learn rhythms of worship and living that really work? Are you ready to find space in a dedicated community of women ready to lift each other up?

Embrace your wholeness. Embrace real balance that doesn’t skip God. Embrace BalancedMe, today!

Tomorrow, we gather, to look to the Lord to find true balance in life.

Tomorrow, we trade soul-deep weariness and a focus on hustle for a soul-fulfilling worship and a focus on the God-first rhythms of life that fill our cup, instead of draining it dry.

Today feels as exciting as Christmas Eve to me!

Come join us, won’t you? Our fellowship is starting on a bold new journey of faith, and I want you to be there with us!

Ready for a Selah moment?

Settle in, silence your phone, and sit with God, just the two of you. Look inward and ask yourself, “What do I believe about myself that holds me back?”

Next, ask yourself, “says who?” Who taught you these self-beliefs? Chances are, it wasn’t God!

Open your heart. Think on what God has told you and shown you about who you are, what you’re worth, and what you can, and should, do. How has God called you?

Throughout the week, pay attention to your thoughts; are those false beliefs creeping in? Can you remind yourself in those moments of God’s truth that has been revealed to you?

Come share God’s truth with us, a fellowship of women ready to ask “Says who?” and to only accept the answer “God does!” as the one truth worth hearing and believing.

Even in my lowest moments, where I have already cried before I’ve even made it to work that day, where I’m questioning everything in my life, I’ve heard God whisper to me, “Show up anyway. I’ll be there to catch you if you fall.”

And so boldly, with total faith in God, I keep going, doing the work that I know I’m called to do. I may do the work while feeling broken, I may do the work and weep, but every time I’ve kept going, God has shown up for me.

Bold faith doesn’t have to be big, it doesn’t have to be loud. Believing, and acting accordingly, even when nothing around you has confirmed the promise yet, is where bold faith truly shines.

As we gather this month at thebestME, we are called to believe without fear, and to follow that calling even when everything feels like it’s falling apart. We are shedding the need to control it all and we are realigning our inner compass with trust, and the peace that comes with that trust.

Gather with us, and walk boldly in your faith!

I’ve been there. Looking in the mirror and only seeing the roles I play, the demands I fulfill, and the ways I have been labeled throughout my life.

As I spent time chasing approval and trying to be everything everyone else wanted me to be, there was a voice, calling me back to who I really am, the me that God has defined.

Being called to remember God’s word set my feet on the path I am on now, the path toward the real me, the best me, the balanced me.

Are you weighed down by the roles you’ve been told to play? Are you looking to find a better path, a path where your God-defined sense of self lights the way?

BalancedMe is waiting for you. Heed the call and join me in fellowship with women just like you: https://thepeopleplacecc.com/balanced-me

Carve out some time today to take a Selah moment. Tune out the distractions, leave your phone in the other room, and sit in stillness with the Lord.

What are some truths God has revealed to you? Things you know are true, about your mission and calling, about right and wrong, about the future, about forgiveness, about life?

God shows us the truth in big and little ways, every day. Through reflection, through scripture, through messages and missions that guide our lives, God offers us His truth.

Write out the ways God shows you His truth, and share a few with us below! Let’s witness each other, celebrating the truth in the Lord that guides us unfailingly, every day.

Wellness. We hear the word all the time, and it’s usually tied up in the latest supplements, protein powders, workouts, fad diets, fitness trackers, etc. The focus, all too often, is on doing more, being more, having more. But where’s the balance?

For that matter, while movement and nutrition are vital ways to keep your body going, what about wellness of the soul?

When it comes to wellness, the Word offers us a guide for where to plant our feet and start walking. Life is all about balance, and looking to God first is the best way to set the rhythm for everything else.

Not sure how to build your life around rhythms that return you to God every day? We’ve got you.

BalancedMe helps you find soul habits, not just self-care hacks.

Come see how faith-first balance can keep your soul from drifting: https://thepeopleplacecc.com/balanced-me

On Making Northwest Arkansas Unapologetically Dope

What does being “Unapologetically Dope” mean? It is about not asking for permission to be yourself, not shrinking for others, and resting in your own sense of what makes you Dope! It took me a while to get here.

Here is my story... Essentially, growing up, both of my parents were addicts. I didn't come from a healthy family. In a lot of ways, this is what has been the driving force my whole life: creating a reality for myself that is the opposite of how I grew up. It's a drive for something that I didn't have, something I so desperately wanted, and something I will never stop striving towards.

Arkansas is where I was born and raised. It's where I said I would leave and never come back to, a place where I left a lot of heartache and pain.

I said I never would, but I came home. I have it on my heart that I might be uniquely equipped to be able to impact the community for the better. This community.
