Each one of you is unconsciously preparing your own world

You are creating the world you are preparing for.

Every day, in every way, my actions, my words and even my thoughts are aligned with a vision I have for my future. If asked to articulate my vision, it may appear blurry or difficult to describe, but I carry within me a picture of what I am preparing myself for. Just as a bee spreads pollen for flowers to grow, I spread my energy in my environment, creating the world around me. Today let me consider how I am preparing myself for the beautiful world my heart is longing for.

We must remember

We must remember

"No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." Albert Einstein

In today’s world, attempting to rectify a situation quickly becomes an act of fixing—adding laws, building systems or creating solutions to manage what has gone wrong. Each solution quietly adds to the complexity, layering a fix over a previous failed fix. With sincere intent, we believe we are resolving issues, yet complexity multiplies. Structures expand, rules deepen, and the world feels almost ungovernable until we find ourselves caught in a cycle that tightens even as we try to loosen it. Spiritual wisdom reminds me that I cannot rectify from the same awareness that created the problem. It is our collective consciousness that has created the problems we live with. As long as my mindset is in fix-it mode, I will not heal the underlying causes of all that has gone wrong. Elevating my perspective to transform my understanding requires a completely different level of consciousness. This is where a pure awareness, untouched by human frailties is useful to us at this time. I choose to connect with the One who is beyond but watching, to lift my consciousness to a higher place and heal what lies beneath the surface complexity. Today let me tune into a higher frequency to put right what has gone wrong in me ~ and our world.

Gently, With Patience
The habit of telling myself off subtly shapes a nature of sorrow. Instead, let me talk to myself gently, with patience, as one would do to a child.

Let me check my checklist

Let me check my checklist

photo Blake Guidry

Pilots run through a lengthy checklist before take-off to ensure the airplane's systems are functional and safety equipment is secure. Before I enter a challenging situation, I make it a practice to check my internal systems before engaging with others. I check that I have my inner calm in tact, my power to discern awakened and my attitude of loving detachment ready. When I have prepared myself, I ensure a better experience for all. Today let me prepare myself internally for upcoming challenges.

Sharing space and connection with others in a light way

"Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." Khalil Gibran

Sometimes we just have to talk about the weather or what we had for lunch with our friends and colleagues. Small conversations about the mundane aspects of daily living ground us in a shared atmosphere. Sharing like this brings us closer because it is the vibration of care that is felt. Another time, if there is something important to say, a trusting connection has already been built. Today let me share space and time with others in light ways.

Committing to small efforts that keep us in the light...

photo Mathis Mauprivez

Sometimes it feels like I am living under a heavy lid that I cannot push open. Stuck in my own thoughts or negative energy it can feel dark like being under a manhole cover. These moments remind me of how much I love the light. It also reminds me how I must dedicate myself to seeking it. There are holes in the lid that can be leveraged to open it. There is always a way back to the light, always a small leverage point I can use to free myself from this weight. But I must commit to the effort with determination. I preserve my strength so I don't lose power in struggling. I set my resolve and lift. Light floods in and I release myself from the grip of darkness. Today let me commit to small efforts to keep myself in the light.

Improvement does not come from fear

Improvement does not come from fear

photo Carli Jeen

Measuring myself against perfection and finding myself lacking creates a constant sense of inadequacy. "I should be better” sounds like an aspiration based on humility. But it is a subtle violence against the self, based on a wrong belief that improvement comes from dissatisfaction. So I live in fear that if I am content with who I am, I will stop growing. I keep measuring myself and falling short of my ideal. The gap between “what I am” and “what I should be” becomes a whip, a form of violence towards myself. In reality, I am not something that must be constructed, improved or fixed. When I remember my inherent beauty and goodness, I rise to my ideal naturally. Self-respect is knowing who I am inside. I no longer need to compare or measure. Today let me be gentle with myself and remember who I am.
