Our goal is restore proper nerve communication so the body can heal from those past injuries and begin to function normally again! A misalignment in the spine puts tension and inflammation into the spinal cord and nerve system. It is not a dislocation or a fracture of the vertebrae, but a malposition and dysfunction of the spinal bones and nerves. Subluxation causes severe negative consequences when the body is left in this state. Even though we can adapt to trauma and even though our brain will attempt to deal with this state of dysfunction, usually we need a corrective adjustment to fix the problem. Any part of the body impacted by the injury and also any part of the body that is connected to the nerves in the cervical spine (neck) can have problems from being subluxated. The reason we focus on the upper neck is simple: all the nerves in your body travel through the neck to get into the brain and the only communication path from brain back down to your body is through the neck. Correcting the subluxation problem will return the body's nerve communication system to normal and healthy function again. We do this by restoring your head and neck alignment back to a normal balanced alignment with a specific chiropractic adjustment. This scientific approach is gentle, safe, and effective.
