Here at PsychologyWorks, we are incredibly grateful for the trust and collaboration of the referring offices who partner with us to support our community’s mental health needs in Arkansas.

Our office manager, Ashlee, made and delivered some thank you boxes last week to express just how much your partnership means to us even when we don't always find the time to say so. 💛

And we really wanted to shoutout to Ashlee as well for her kindness and making things happen for our office! ☺️

📣 📣 We’re incredibly honored to share that Dr. Steele-Wren was recently interviewed by 'Prosper Health' for an article focused on employment opportunities for autistic individuals.

At our practice, supporting neurodivergent mental health isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.

This opportunity to contribute to such an important conversation means so much to us. Advocacy, education, and representation matter, and we’re grateful to help amplify the strengths, needs, and voices within the neurodivergent community. 🌎

In April, we celebrate Autism Acceptance! 💙

Acceptance means truly listening, learning, and fostering environments where autistic individuals feel valued and supported—not altered.

It’s about embracing the beauty of neurodiversity—honoring the diverse ways our brains perceive the world, from ADHD to dyslexia and beyond.

Different doesn’t mean less; it means human. Let’s stand together! 💚

Dr. Steele-Wren is mentioned in the nss G-club Magazine giving her professional feedback on Fashion and belonging in adolescence.

Belonging through fashion tribes now operates on two tracks: cultivated on online platforms and embodied offline in the clothes worn through school hallways. While these realms are increasingly intertwined, clothing remains its most immediate manifestation. Ultimately, ‘‘clothes carry weight beyond cloth and threads,’’ as psychologist Stephanie Steele-Wren puts it. ‘‘Underneath it all, what we wear ties into how we feel, our sense of self, and above all, who we think we are.’’ And that is unlikely to change anytime soon..

Last week we celebrated our team at the Best of NWA gala.

PsychologyWorks took home Gold 🥇for Best Mental Health Services in NWA, and I couldn’t be prouder of this team. They show up with clarity, compassion, and real clinical skill, and they support neurodivergent people in ways that actually fit real life.

Silver in the counseling category was nice too! But the real win is the humans in this photo!!

Thank you, NWA, for trusting us.

March is Women’s History Month.

Women have always shaped our world—but many neurodivergent women have done so while navigating systems that weren’t built with their brains in mind.

For decades, conditions like ADHD and autism were studied mostly in boys, leaving countless women misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or overlooked. Yet neurodivergent women continue to lead, create, advocate, and innovate.
From activists who helped define the neurodiversity movement to authors, researchers, artists, and community leaders, neurodivergent women remind us that different ways of thinking are powerful.

This month we celebrate all women—and the unique perspectives neurodivergent women bring to our communities.
Because inclusion means recognizing that there is no single way for a brain to be brilliant.

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria can affect how neurodivergent people experience connection, communication, and conflict. These reactions are not overreactions—they are nervous system responses tied to emotional sensitivity. When we understand RSD, we create more compassionate relationships for neurodivergent individuals.

💗 February is American Heart Month.
It’s near and dear to us — because heart health is whole‑person health. 🧠
For neurodivergent individuals, small, realistic, sensory‑friendly steps matter.

This week, we recognize caregivers who advocate for neurodivergent wellbeing every day. Caregivers play a vital role in supporting neurodivergent individuals, and that support works best when it honors autonomy and differences. Understanding sensory needs, communication styles, and regulation patterns can transform how caregivers show up.

Neurodivergent love languages often differ from typical expectations, and that is completely valid. Many neurodivergent people express affection through parallel play, infodumping, or sharing special interests—forms of connection that honor authenticity and comfort. This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate all the different ways neurodivergent love shows up and strengthens relationships.
