Let me introduce you to my new friend, Sumaira Latif—Sam, as she’s known. I had the privilege of meeting her at the inspiring A11y Summit hosted by Walmart. Sam is a beacon of light and positivity.
What you might not know at first glance is that Sam is blind. But what defines her is so much more than that—her wit, charm, and unwavering determination are revolutionizing the way we understand and address accessibility challenges.
Have you ever considered how a blind person might distinguish between shampoo and conditioner in the shower? Or how they measure the right amount of detergent for laundry? These are everyday challenges Sam knows well, and she’s tackling them head-on, creating meaningful solutions through simple yet impactful innovations.
I was honored when Sam took the time to hold and share her thoughts on Ecopi. Her words—“What a difference this would make for me!”—meant the world to me.
