JD’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering love for his family and his deep Christian faith. He shared fifty-five beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Charlene Hawthorn, whom he married on June 11, 1970. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising two wonderful daughters, Nicole Allison and Dawn Dupuis. JD’s joy was multiplied with the birth of his two grandsons, Michael and Alex Dupuis, whose adventures and achievements brought him immense pride.

JD was deeply committed to the care of his elder relatives. He consistently made a point to check in on his elderly uncles and aunts, stopping by after work or church to ensure they were well and had everything they needed.

JD was devoted both to his family and his career. As an expert butcher, he earned a reputation for careful precision and meticulousness. Working in the family business, he not only handled meat packing but also drove the delivery truck several days a week. For JD, his work meant more than employment, it was how he built relationships within his community through his delivery route.

His gentle guidance and patient teachings will be fondly remembered during future family outings. JD also found joy in the simple pleasure of companionship. His friendly demeanor and kind smile were a comfort to all who had the pleasure of his company.

A man of faith, JD lived his Christian beliefs through his actions, treating everyone he met with love and respect. His presence was a soothing balm in a world that often needed more kindness. He provided valued support within the community as a church Deacon and actively participated in the bus ministry, assisting those requiring transportation to church services.

JD was known everywhere for his warm, welcoming smile. Each of them will carry forward his legacy of love, friendship, and kindness.

As we bid farewell to JD, we remember a man whose life was a testament to the virtues of love, friendship, and kindness. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his influence will continue to be felt through the countless lives he touched.
