Scott Kadar, age 76, of Rogers, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026. He was born May 20, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Steven and Irene Kadar. He graduated Valedictorian from Peru High School in Peru, New York and received his B.S. in Business and Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

But his life truly began when he joined the Air Force as an officer, starting his pilot training in Del Rio, Texas. Upon arriving, a friend sent him into Ace Hardware to check out the girl behind the counter, who ended up being the love of his life, Sherry Valentine. They soon married on St. Patrick’s Day, enjoying a life in the Air Force for 6 years before Scott pursued a career in retail management, then joining the 4th Judicial District Court as Court Administrator, from which he retired in 2014.

Upon starting a family Scott gave his life to Christ at the age of 32 and was forever changed, dedicating the rest of his life to raising his family to honor the Lord, serving the church in multiple ways, sharing Christ’s love with everyone he encountered. Even during his illness, he shared the good news of Jesus with doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, and other patients. His greatest joy was knowing that his children had accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and knowing that they are raising their families to love Jesus as well.

His fondest memories were taking family trips and adventures, the most memorable being a trip to his son-in-law’s native land of Scotland and a ski excursion to Winter Park, Co where he got to show off that he had not lost his skiing talents he acquired during his childhood in New York.

After becoming a Pops, every spare moment was spent enjoying their camp house along the King’s River with his grandkids, riding the golf cart, shooting BB guns, swimming, jumping off the dock, giving Gator driving lessons, taking boat rides, teaching firework safety and enjoying nature.

Scott will be remembered most for being Mr. Fix It. He would tackle any problem or challenge anyone brought his way. Building a wooden train set for his newborn son, countless tree houses, a custom platform bed for his daughter to take to college, busy boards for his new grandchildren, fixing electronics, installing countless ceiling fans - he truly was the one everyone turned to for him to fix it.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sherry Kadar; son Steven (Mary) Kadar of Gallatin, TN, daughter Jennifer (Simon) Kadar-Brown of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren Ewan and Keira Brown, Hayden and Hazel Kadar; mother-in-law Jean Valentine; brother-in-law Kevin (Donna) Valentine; sister-in-law Vicki (Matt) Whitehead; nephews and nieces Eric Whitehead, Paige (Matt) Light, Claire Valentine and Ethan Whitehead; and close friends Jerry and Marylou Marler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law Don Valentine.

Karla Sue Blevins

January 26, 1951- May 9, 2026

“Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her; there are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Proverbs 31:28-29.

Karla Sue Blevins was born January 26, 1951, in McCook Nebraska to Paul and Geraldine (Perkins) Christensen. She lived with her family in Beaver City, Nebraska until they moved to Holdrege when she was five years old. She attended school in Holdrege from Kindergarten through her senior year, graduating in 1969. She was active in marching band, pep club, and church youth activities.

Karla met Mark Blevins her freshman year at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. They soon knew they would spend their lives together. She transferred to Evangel College, also in Springfield, majoring in Elementary Education. Mark and Karla were married in Holdrege on June 3, 1972. They started married life in Springfield while completing their senior year. After graduation from Evangel, Mark and Karla made their home in Holdrege. Karla taught first and second grade in the R-7 school district for three years and then took leave to begin raising a family. Mark and Karla had three beautiful daughters - Cheri, Candace, and Corinne. Karla loved her girls fiercely and supported them in every way possible.

Karla was a friend maker. She continued friendships from high school, college, the workplace, and teaching through the years. She loved keeping up with close family members as well as extended family. Karla cherished these relationships throughout her life.

Karla was a creative genius. She started her business, Karla’s Kreations, in the basement of her home. She loved to sew and create, even as a little girl making doll clothes. She had a God-given gift. Her business outgrew her basement and became a storefront in downtown Holdrege, selling handmade gifts and beautiful items to a customer base and contractors throughout the United States. Karla’s Kreations employed over 30 women in the Holdrege community.

In 1999 Mark and Karla made the decision to move to Omaha. Never backing away from a challenge, Karla renewed her teaching certificate and taught grades three and four. She soon earned her master’s degree in gifted education and taught until her retirement from Omaha Public Schools in 2017.

Mark and Karla moved to Rogers, Arkansas, in the summer of 2025, and quilting again became central to Karla’s life. A master quilter, she made quilts for her children and grandchildren, and she continued quilting until her very final days. She was determined to create wedding quilts for every grandchild and baby quilts for great-grandchildren still to come. After her cancer diagnosis in November 2025, she completed 10 quilts and many smaller gifts for family and friends. Karla was welcomed into heaven on May 9, 2026. She even had quilts with her at the hospital that day. We trust the Lord has prepared a beautiful place for her to keep creating and adding to heaven’s beauty.

Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Paul (1998) and Geraldine (2008) Christensen, her sister Rogene Christensen Argue (1992), brother-in-law Dave Argue (2019) and her brother Jerry Christensen (2022).

She is survived by her husband Mark of Rogers Arkansas, daughters Cheri Blevins of Rogers Arkansas, Candace and Jay Newland of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and Corinne and Paul Fulmer of Holdrege Nebraska. Brother Brent and Connie Christensen of Holdrege Nebraska, sister-in-law Roberta Christensen of Lincoln Nebraska, and brother-in-law Reggie and Lynn Blevins of Everton, Arkansas. Grandchildren Bryant and Kylee Fulmer, Jackson Newland, Kenna Fulmer, Haven Newland, Alexa Fulmer, her nieces, nephews, and a multitude of extended family and friends. Our loss is heaven’s gain.

Alex William (PK) Thompson, age 37, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Born on April 24, 1988, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Alex lived a life defined by his deep faith, his love for music, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Alex possessed a God given talent to spark laughter in those around him, often doing so quite naturally. Though he faced various personal hurdles in his later years, Alex remained a constant source of joy for those around him. This innate ability to spread happiness, regardless of his own circumstances, stands as a beautiful and enduring testament to the legacy he leaves behind.

Alex was a proud 2006 graduate of Bentonville High School, where he was a well-rounded student-athlete and performer. During his high school years, he played football and baseball and shared his vocal talents as a member of the choir. His love for singing followed him throughout his life; he was a devoted member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ, where he found great joy and passion in leading the congregation in song.

In his professional life, Alex was known for his compassionate heart, working as a caregiver at the Arkansas Support Network and as a lab tech at Consumer Testing Labs. His kindness extended far beyond his career. A lifelong advocate for organ donation, Alex spoke of his wish to give back often, specifically expressing his desire to donate his heart. As he took his final breath, his wish was honored; through his selfless gift, Alex was able to save four lives, leaving a legacy of hope and healing.

An avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Alex could often be found cheering on his favorite team or any sporting event involving his beloved home state. He enjoyed playing disc golf and playing his guitar. Some of his simplest joys included a meal at Flying Burrito or grabbing a snack from any concession stand he encountered while cheering on his niece and nephew, Callie and Gunner, at their ballgames. To Alex, being an uncle was one of his greatest honors.

Alex was preceded in death by his father and his paternal grandparents. On his maternal side, he was preceded in death by his "Granny" Autrey; his aunts, Pat Gordon, Sammye Gordon, and Alice Williams; and his uncles, James Autrey Jr. and Lloyd Autrey.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Janis Thompson of Bentonville; his sister and brother-in-law, Sabrina and Justin Cooper of Bentonville; and his cherished niece and nephew, Callie and Gunner Cooper. He also leaves behind his aunts, Nancy Logan of Cabot, Arkansas and Teresa Mullins of Ohio; his uncles, Phil Autrey of Cabot, Arkansas and Tommy Autrey of Scott, Arkansas; and numerous cousins and friends throughout central and northwest Arkansas who will miss his spirit and song.

A time of visitation will be held at 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM to celebrate Alex’s life and faith, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ, 989 NW McNelly Rd, Bentonville, Arkansas, on Friday, April 24, 2026.
