Our latest blog explores one of the hardest questions families face: when is it time to consider assisted living?

Sometimes it’s not one big moment but a series of small changes that quietly begin to add up.

This decision often comes with a lot of emotions—uncertainty, hesitation, and wanting to do what’s best. In our blog, we walk through the subtle signs to look for, what to consider, and how this next step can bring more support, safety, and joy for everyone involved.

Happy World Art Day! 🎨🌸

Yesterday, our residents at Generations Senior Living of Berea spent time creating beautiful Button Art Flower Paintings—and the joy in the room said it all.

Art is such a powerful form of expression. It allows individuals to share feelings, spark creativity, and connect with others in meaningful ways. For many, it’s also incredibly therapeutic—helping to reduce stress, improve mood, and bring a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

At Generations Senior Living, we believe in offering a variety of activities that nurture creativity, connection, and joy. From art projects like this to social events and wellness programs, our residents have the opportunity to choose what they love and truly make this community feel like home.

Because here, it’s not just about living—it’s about living well. 💛

At Generations Senior Living, gardening is more than just planting flowers—it’s about creating a space that truly feels like home 💛

In our communities, residents enjoy our raised flower beds located in our gradens, making gardening easily accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Many of our residents take pride in planting, tending, and watching their flowers grow throughout the season 🌸

We believe it’s important for residents to be involved in the things that make their community feel like their own. Whether it’s choosing what to plant, caring for the gardens, or simply enjoying the beauty they’ve helped create, these moments bring a sense of purpose and joy.

And for those who prefer to relax, our courtyard and garden areas at both Berea and Strongsville provide the perfect place to sit, unwind, and take in the peaceful surroundings 🌿☀️

Because at Generations, it’s not just where you live—it’s where you belong.

🐾💛 Meet Penny & Lucky! 💛🐾

In honor of National Pet Day, we’re celebrating one of our sweetest duos here at Generations Senior Living—Penny and her beloved cat, Lucky 🐱

Lucky is as friendly as they come and is always ready for cuddles. When she’s not snuggled up with Penny, you can find her perched proudly on top of her cat castle, keeping a watchful eye over Penny—just like a true companion should 🥰

At Generations Senior Living, we understand that pets are more than just animals—they’re family. That’s why we are proud to be a pet-friendly community, allowing residents to bring the comfort, companionship, and unconditional love of their furry friends with them.

Because sometimes, the best kind of care has four paws and a whole lot of love 🐾💚

🏀 March Madness Has Come to an End! 🏀

What an exciting tournament it’s been! From buzzer beaters to bracket busters, this year’s March Madness kept us all on our toes.

First, a big congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball on winning the NCAA National Championship—what an incredible and well-deserved victory! 🏆👏

Now, let’s celebrate our Generations winners:

🥇 1st Place: Jeff Wilkinson (Berea Maintenance) – 86 points
🥈 2nd Place: Tom (Strongsville Family) – 85 points
🥉 3rd Place: Jim Wagner (Berea Resident) – 84 points

What a close competition—every point mattered!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a fun and engaging event across both communities. We loved seeing the friendly competition and excitement throughout the tournament.

Don’t worry… we’ll definitely be bringing this back next year! 🏀

🌍💚 World Health Day: Health is More Than Just Physical 💚🌍

Today is World Health Day, a reminder that true health goes beyond just doctor visits and medications—it’s about caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

At Generations Senior Living, we believe that overall wellness comes from a balance of:

💛 Physical Health – staying active through walking, movement, and exercise programs
🧠 Mental Health – engaging in meaningful conversations, activities, and support
🤝 Social Health – building connections, friendships, and a sense of belonging
🌿 Emotional Well-being – feeling safe, supported, and valued every day

Health looks different for everyone, but one thing remains the same—having a strong support system and opportunities to stay engaged can make all the difference.

In our communities, you’ll see this every day—from residents walking and participating in activities, to sharing meals, laughter, and meaningful moments together.

If you’d like to learn more about how to support overall health and wellness at any age, here are some helpful resources:
