We had a great turn out for our Purple Thursday luncheon last week! Over 30 people (the majority being students) attended to hear Kris Bondarenko from give an excellent presentation on intimate partner violence. Thanks to those of you who showed up and educating yourselves about these important issues.

Tomorrow is Purple Thursday! This is an opportunity day to raise awareness about domestic violence and show support for survivors. Please remember to:
~ Wear purple
~ Wear "Ask me why I'm wearing purple" stickers. These can be picked up at the Alumni Front Desk
~ Share on social media using hashtags and
~ Attend the Purple Thursday Luncheon featuring Kris Bondarenko from GreenHouse17 who will be talking about the dynamics of intimate partner violence. We will be dinging in Baird Lounge from 11:45-1:00. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP necessary.

We are excited to announce that 247 people on campus took the It's on Us pledge last week! Thanks to all of you who took the pledge and committed to changing our campus culture for the better.

Please join us tomorrow for our Key Note presentation for this week's It's on Us Campaign! We are bringing in a special guest speaker, Joe Samalin, who will discuss why men are needed to play a part in ending r**e culture and sexual violence.

The Presentation will be in Baird Lounge, from 1:00-2:30. All are welcome. No RSVP is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.

Last week Berea College launched an It's on Us campaign which is a nationwide movement to end sexual violence. As part of this movement we are encouraging everyone to take the It’s on Us Pledge and commit toward creating a culture of consent, bystander intervention, and survivor support on our campus. Meet the newest member on our Title VII/IX Investigator Team, Stephen M. Howard!
