šŸŽ‰ Happy New Year!šŸŽ‰

As we step into this new year, let’s embrace a powerful resolution: awareness. Mental health is often overlooked, yet it profoundly influences our lives. By cultivating awareness—of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—we can make transformative changes.

✨ Why Awareness Matters:
1. Recognize Patterns: Awareness helps us identify negative thought patterns that hold us back. By acknowledging them, we create space for healthier thoughts and behaviors.
2. Enhance Emotional Intelligence:
Understanding our emotions enables us to respond rather than react. This leads to healthier relationships and improved communication.
3. Promote Self-Compassion: Awareness fosters kindness toward ourselves. It encourages us to treat our mental health with the same care we offer to others.

šŸ’Ŗ This Year, Let’s Resolve To:
- Practice Mindfulness: Spend a few moments each day being present. Whether through meditation, journaling, or a simple walk, connect with your thoughts and emotions.
- Reach Out: Share your feelings with friends or loved ones. Building a support network is a crucial step toward better mental health.
- Set Boundaries: Know your limits and prioritize self-care. It’s okay to say no and focus on what nurtures your well-being.

As we embark on this journey together, remember: awareness is the first step toward change. Let’s make 2026 a year of growth, understanding, and compassion for ourselves and each other.

Here’s to a brighter, more mindful year ahead! šŸŒŸšŸ’–

Keynote Speaker:šŸ”ˆ
Faith. Mental Health. Immigration. Fetal Trauma.
I gave a keynote for Several Sources Shelters—and we went deep.
We talked about what happens when women face trauma at the intersection of:
⚔ Faith
⚔ Psychology
⚔ Reproductive and fetal health
⚔ Immigration
⚔ Systemic injustice
This is the work I lead every day through Pathways to Healing & Social Justice.
I help people and organizations move from trauma to transformation—through care, education, and advocacy.
If you’re building something for:
→ Immigrant women
→ Trauma survivors
→ Clinical teams
→ Community healers
→ Justice-minded systems
…I’d love to collaborate.

I am truly honored to serve as the keynote speaker at the upcoming Gala for the Board of Directors, dedicated donors, and key stakeholders of a vital nonprofit organization that supports pregnant women experiencing homelessness and survivors of violence.

I have previously had the privilege of speaking at esteemed venues such as Lincoln Center, David Geffen Hall, and the New York Academy of Medicine. At this significant event, I will focus on critical women’s health issues and explore the essential intersection of faith and mental health.

I eagerly anticipate engaging in meaningful discussions with influential leaders who are dedicated to uplifting and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. Together, we can inspire hope and drive impactful change.

In my practice, we actively welcome collaborations and partnerships. If you’re interested in working together on public health, social justice, mental health, or community program development, please feel free to reach out!

Exciting News! šŸ’–āœØšŸƒ

I’m thrilled to share that I’m currently undergoing advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)! This powerful therapeutic modality is backed by extensive research and has shown remarkable efficacy in helping individuals heal from trauma and reclaim their lives.

I’ve heard firsthand from fellow practitioners about the profound transformations they’ve witnessed in their clients through EMDR. It’s inspiring to see how this approach can facilitate healing and foster resilience. I believe deeply that everyone deserves the chance to heal, and EMDR offers a transformative pathway for processing distressing memories.

As a lifelong learner, I am committed to applying the most advanced techniques available to support those impacted by trauma. By receiving this advanced training, I’m equipping myself with the most effective tools to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs reminds us that growth starts from the ground up🌱

First, we need our basic needs met (food, water, safety), then we seek connection and belonging, build self-esteem, and finally reach self-fulfillment, where we can truly thrive.✨

The cycle of perfectionism can feel never-endingšŸ’

You work hard, get rewarded, feel validated… and then push yourself to do it all over again, sometimes at the expense of your mental health.

Breaking this cycle starts with recognizing that your worth isn’t defined by constant achievement.šŸ’›
