We believe that strong relationships between caregivers and clients are the foundation of exceptional care.
When caregivers and their clients connect on a personal level, it enhances the quality of care and creates a more positive experience for everyone involved.
The Caregiver's Journey co-founders Sue Ryan & Nancy Treaster share how caregivers and families can build healthier relationships based on trust, respect, and clear communication on this month's ComForConnections podcast episode: https://ow.ly/m5tt50Wr8cM

Caring for aging parents can be a rewarding yet challenging journey, especially when they are hesitant to accept assistance.
It’s not uncommon for older adults to feel a sense of pride or independence that makes them resistant to help, even when it’s needed.
As caregivers, it’s important to approach these conversations with empathy and understanding. Listen as Dr. Barry Jacobs, clinical psychologist and national caregiving expert, provides insight to help ease the transition on the ComForConnections podcast: https://ow.ly/Zwuw50WhEN5
Psychologist Dr. Barry Jacobs joins ComForConnections to help caregivers navigate tough conversations with aging parents who resist help.

A Helping Hand for the Holidays: In-Home Respite Care 101
In-home respite care is a form of temporary relief from the responsibilities of caretaking. You get to set the terms—it could mean hiring a professional aide for an afternoon, for several weeks, or anything in between. At ComForCare Care, our highly trained staff can come to your loved one’s home to perform many of the duties you provide on a daily basis, including:
🍽️Preparing meals and helping them eat
🛀Helping them groom, bathe, and dress
💊Providing medication reminders
🛒Grocery shopping, picking up medications, and related errands
🚗Coordinating care and transporting them to and from doctor appointments
🧹Light housekeeping
Unlike adult day-care centers or respite care facilities, in-home care reduces the stress on your loved one by bringing care to them. They get to stay in their familiar environment with minimal disruption to their routine—and you get a break to focus on your needs.

“The beautiful part of this business is making a difference in people’s lives.”
The 2008 financial crisis changed our family’s path when Jonathan was let go from his career from one of the top three investment banking companies after 22 years. We may not have known it at the time, but this was a blessing in disguise. While searching for another corporate job, Jonathan started assisting an older neighbor, and, one day, it finally clicked for both of us that this was what we had been called to do. We started our home care business in 2008 and haven’t looked back.
We are a husband-wife team committed to providing the very best personalized care to our clients, so they can live their life on their own terms. We take an active role in matching all our clients to their prospective caregivers. We know letting a caregiver into your life or your loved one’s life can be difficult, but we work from day one to minimize the stress. We make sure you and your family know and are comfortable with your caregivers, even before you welcome them into your home.
