🎾 Tennis Ball Self-Care After a Long Day 🎾

We spent today hauling more boxes and electronics to the beautiful new space at Coolfont Resort and our arms, shoulders, and legs are letting us know it!

Did you know you can get quick at-home relief with a tennis ball:
Grab an ordinary tennis ball and roll it:
• Under your feet and calves (great for that standing fatigue)
• Along your arms and forearms
• Across your upper back and shoulders (use a wall for extra pressure)

Slow, controlled circles on the tight spots help release knots and bring fresh circulation. Just 5–10 minutes can make a big difference in how you feel.

Who else has been moving, lifting, or working hard lately? Tell us in the comments! 💪

✨ Beth Luetkemeyer, Massage Therapist & Owner of Kneaded Therapy ✨

I’ve introduced you to our wonderful team, so now it feels fitting to share a little about myself. It’s easier to talk about everyone else 😆.

I’m Beth Luetkemeyer, owner and massage therapist at Kneaded Therapy. With over two decades of massage experience, multiple advanced trainings and certifications and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), I bring a deep passion for helping people find real relief, renewal, and relaxation through therapeutic touch.

My journey in massage therapy includes some of my most influential time spent at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where I had the honor of working with our most severely injured veterans of the Iraq/Afghanistan war. Providing care that supported their healing and well-being during one of their most difficult times deeply strengthened my commitment to compassionate, results-oriented bodywork that addresses both physical tension and overall wellness.

I’m here because I genuinely believe in the power of skilled, heartfelt care to help the body heal and people thrive. What matters most to me is creating a warm, welcoming space where every client feels heard, cared for, and leaves feeling better than when they arrived.

None of this would be possible without our amazing team, Emily, Destiney, Roxanne, Jason, and a couple more we can’t wait to introduce you to in the coming weeks. All who pour their hearts into what they do. Together, we’re building something special at Coolfont: a place for genuine wellness in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia.

Thank you for trusting us with your care. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are just stopping by for the first time, it means the world to us!
With gratitude,
Beth

✨ Welcome Jason Shiflett, PT to the Kneaded Therapy at Coolfont Team! ✨

I’d like to introduce one of our fantastic new additions to the team here at Kneaded Therapy at Coolfont: Jason Shiflett, PT!

Jason graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He brings over 26 years of experience in the field, having worked in a wide variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing, and transitional sub-acute rehabilitation.

Jason is highly trained in advanced manual therapy with a strong focus on osteopathic principles. He specializes in Fascial Counterstrain (FCS), a gentle, hands-on technique that identifies and treats the root causes of pain and dysfunction rather than just the symptoms. Unlike traditional physical therapy that often focuses on isolated areas, Jason takes an integrative, whole-body approach to help patients achieve lasting relief and get back to thriving.

His goal is simple yet powerful: to guide you on your journey so you can reach your highest level of wellness, not just surviving, but truly living pain-free.

Jason, we are so excited to have you as part of Kneaded Therapy at Coolfont! We know our guests and clients are going to love the difference your expertise makes.

Please help me give Jason a warm welcome!

💧 The mineral water at Coolfont and why it matters for healing 💧

Berkeley Springs produces naturally mineral-rich water that contains magnesium, calcium, sulfates, and other trace minerals that make the water soft and slightly alkaline.
When this water moves, flows, or is gently aerated during your spa treatments, it generates negative ions.

How negative ions and the minerals help:
• Increase oxygen flow to the brain for higher alertness and mental clarity, less drowsiness.
• Support mood by influencing serotonin levels for reduced stress and a calmer feeling.
• Magnesium and calcium aid muscle relaxation and may ease tension/soreness.
• The alkaline, mineral-rich water supports skin hydration and a soothing sensation on contact.

At our new space in the renovated Coolfont Resort, we’ll be incorporating this very water into our services from our warm foot soaks and head spas to skin and scalp care to name a few. The goal is to let the water’s natural healing properties work alongside our skilled therapeutic touch for deeper relaxation and restoration.

Have you noticed a difference in how you feel after being near our moving waters or a mineral soak? What stands out most to you? Share below! 💚
