Leiya’s in-house occupational therapist Rachel Velen, OTR/L, is offering an 8-week, in-person group for children who would benefit from learning regulation and coping skills through movement and play.

Using principles from the Zones of Regulation® curriculum, this group helps children better understand their emotions, energy levels, and body signals—while building practical tools they can use at home and school. Parents will also receive a 30-minute post-group consultation to review progress and recommendations.

Resilience Builders is an 8-week, in-person skill-building group for 3rd and 4th graders, led by Kaitlyn Buehler, MA, at Leiya’s Berkeley clinic.

This group offers a supportive, structured space for children to strengthen social competence, perspective taking, and flexible thinking using a CBT-informed approach. Kids will practice skills that help them navigate friendships, understand social cues, and respond thoughtfully in everyday situations.
