During light therapy, users sit for 15-30 minutes while the lamp emits a bright light that mimics natural outdoor light. Free for all UC Berkeley students, no appointment is needed.

It’s that time of year again—the dreaded cold and flu season. 🤒

Luckily, there are many ways to protect yourself and others. 🛡️

Here are some everyday actions you can take to help prevent the spread of germs that cause illnesses like cold and flu. ✅

Since colds and the flu are caused by viruses, antibiotics (which target bacteria) are ineffective. Over-the-counter medications might relieve some symptoms, but they won’t change the course of the illness. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year. 💉🏥
