📣 Hey UC Berkeley students! Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend. ⏰ ⏩

Don't forget to set your clocks forward by an hour on Saturday night or Sunday morning (your smartphones will update automatically).

Keep in mind, this may mean your body needs to adjust to the time change. Consider it a good opportunity to review and improve your sleep routines. Sleep well, bears!

Are you struggling with food and/or body image issues? Think it’s not “serious enough” for you to ask for help?

A lot of students think you have to be at a low weight or in the hospital to deserve support. In reality, anyone struggling with food, movement, or body image deserves help—at any size, at any stage.

The UHS eating disorders clinic provides medical, mental health, and nutrition support in one place. If you’re worried about yourself or a friend, help is available. You don’t have to wait for a crisis.

UC Berkeley students may schedule a medical appointment by calling the UHS clinic desk at (510) 643-7110 or receive counseling support for concerns related to body image, eating, and movement by calling UHS Social Services at (510) 642-6074.

HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common virus that can cause six types of sexually transmitted cancers later in life. You can protect yourself by getting the HPV vaccine before age 26.

The HPV vaccine is available at UHS. Students with SHIP can schedule an appointment with the Immunization Clinic to receive the HPV vaccine. Students without SHIP can pay out of pocket for the costs and keep a receipt for possible reimbursement from their insurance, or they can contact their primary care doctor to discuss options for receiving the vaccine.
