We had a great time welcoming fall at The City of Emeryville's annual harvest festival. Thanks to a grant generously provided by the city, we're still able to offer subsidized repair services to their residents. It was a treat connecting the community with our safety net services and free merch.

Our Team had a fantastic time closing out our 30th Summer of Outreach at the United Seniors of Oakland and Alameda County's 22nd Annual Healthy Living Festival. We we're pleased to be able to connect so many Alameda County Seniors with our safety net services that empower them to live independently.

Our favorite and final event of the summer is finally here. We couldn't be more excited to be tabling at the USOAC's 22nd Annual Healthy Living Festival. Join us at the Oakland Zoo for a morning filled with Friends, Fun, Physical Activities, and a nutritious lunch. As well as our free collection of merch commissioned just for the festival. We look forward to seeing you there.

September's Monthly Update is out now. A reminder that starting October 1st, the Center for Independent Living - Berkeley will be taking over Repair Services for our Oakland clients. We're also looking forward to Berkeley Ready's National Preparedness month events, The Healthy Living Festival, Emeryville Harvest Festival and our Bi-Annual Community Meeting.

We're thrilled to be welcoming a new member to our team in the near future! We hosted a baby shower for our driver Jolene, marking this special occasion with love and excitement. We are all eagerly looking forward to this new chapter and are ready to support Jolene on her journey.

Up next, we're looking forward to once again tabling at UC Berkeley's Disabled Students' Program's Resource Fair. Cal's DSP works to equip disabled students with appropriate accommodations and services to achieve their individual academic goals, we're proud to be able to empower their students to live independently with our safety net services.

Our Team had a fabulous time participating in Berkeley's first Pride Street Festival, led by the Pacific Center for Human Growth. We were there to connect attendees with our suite of safety net services and were also pleasantly surprised to be able to meet with our friends at the Berkeley Fire Department. We also of course, hooked everyone up with some free pride-themed merch.

Our 30th Summer of Outreach is in full swing, we have been so busy tabling and presenting, we haven't taken the time to post about it. Trevor and Marissa were thrilled to be able to celebrate the grand opening of Center for Elders' Independence's brand-new Temescal PACE location, as well as participate in several Transportation Resources Presentations with the City of Oakland - Local Government Senior Centers.
