✈️An Unforgettable Journey: AIMC Students and Alumni Explore Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing ✈️

We're thrilled to share the success of the recent AIMC Beijing Study Trip held from August 18–26, 2025. This immersive program, hosted by the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC) of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Science (CACMS), offered our students and alumni an unparalleled experience in the heart of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

🔹Rich Clinical and Academic Learning
The trip was designed to provide both deep clinical insight and robust academic exposure, and it certainly delivered a "rich learning experience".

🔹Hands-On Clinical Observation
For five days, participants engaged in daily clinical observation at the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Hospital of CACMS. Students were especially satisfied with their teachers and translators, with many noting they "really enjoyed the clinical rounds in different departments each day".

🔹Students rotated through five key departments (Orthopedics, Neuro-encephalopathy, Rheumatology, Gynecology and Pediatrics, and Pain Medicine), observing a variety of techniques and learning to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.

🔹Engaging Lectures and Specialized Skills
During this trip, the group also attended daily clinical lectures at the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of CACMS. The faculty were highly praised, being described as "very welcoming and explained things well". The lectures covered a range of interesting topics, including:

-Weight Loss (Dr. Nie Wen-bin)

-Acute & Chronic Lumbago (Dr. Wang Tong)

-Irregular Menstruation & Dysmenorrhea (Dr. Yang Li)

-Infertility & Menopausal Syndrome (Dr. Zhang Ning)

-Dermatological disorders and Anti-aging (Dr. Li Meng-han)

Additionally, the group received an extra benefit: a special invitation to the FSN Institute at the First Affiliate Hospital of Tsinghua University, where they learned about and observed FSN subcutaneous needling.

🔹Immersive Cultural Exploration
The trip was a balance of academics and culture, providing an incredible time for all participants.

🌸 Magnolia Magic: A Springtime Superfood in TCM 🌿✨

Did you know that magnolia petals are not just stunning but also edible? While Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) primarily uses magnolia buds (辛夷, Xīn Yí) to clear nasal congestion and dispel wind-cold, the petals also carry warming, invigorating properties—perfect for embracing spring’s fresh energy!

As nature awakens, magnolia reminds us to do the same—opening the senses, moving stagnant Qi, and welcoming renewal.

Ways to Enjoy Magnolia Petals:
🌸 Brew them into a fragrant tea for a light, floral lift
🌸 Add fresh petals to salads for a slightly gingery, citrusy kick
🌸 Infuse them into honey or vinegar for a springtime tonic

While the buds are TCM’s go-to for sinus support, the petals offer a delicious, seasonal way to connect with nature’s wisdom. Would you try magnolia in your kitchen? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Postpartum care lays the foundation for a mother’s long-term health and well-being. 💛

Known as the ‘Golden Month’ (Zuò Yuè Zi 坐月子), traditional Chinese medicine recognizes the first 40 days after giving birth as a crucial time for postpartum care and focuses on deep rest, nourishment, and recovery. 🌿✨

This sacred time helps replenish Qi and Blood through warming foods, herbal medicine, and supporting long-term health and well-being.

Key herbs for postpartum healing include:
🌿 Dang Gui (当归, Dāng Guī) – Replenishes Blood and supports circulation.
🍂 Huang Qi (黄芪, Huáng Qí) – Boosts Qi and strengthens immunity.
🌸 Sheng Hua Tang (生化汤, Shēng Huà Tāng) – Helps clear lochia and promote healing.
🔥 Ginger (姜, Jiāng) – Warms the body and aids digestion.
