KCE is excited to share an inspiring update from Somalia, where our partnership with the Global Health Alliance (GHA) is making a meaningful difference. This past week, GHA hosted a two-day DynaMed training at Puntland State University (PSU).

The sessions were led by Dr. Maryan, one of KCE’s dedicated Champions at PSU, alongside Mr. Yonis Abdulkadir, KCE Super Champion and GHA Country Director.

37 enthusiastic students from the Nursing, Midwifery, and Clinical Officer programs participated in the training, gaining access to essential evidence-based medical knowledge to support their future clinical practices and improve patient care.

This collaboration highlights the power of partnerships in advancing health education and strengthening healthcare systems worldwide. We are deeply grateful to GHA for their leadership and to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative!

The KidsCareEverywhere team just returned from a two week DynaMed training trip in Vietnam and Cambodia. We revisited two hospitals where we have long-standing partnerships: Vietnam National Children's Hospital and Angkor Hospital for Children. We also started a new collaboration with the University of Puthisastra, a health sciences university in Phnom Penh, Cambodia!

On this trip, KCE trained over 500 clinicians to use DynaMed and established train-the-trainer programs at all three sites. "DynaMed Champions", who are clinicians onsite, can now train others in using DynaMed to ensure program sustainability! We are beyond thrilled to continue expanding access to evidence-based medical information tools to those who need it most.

The KCE team is still beaming after returning from an unforgettable trip to Peru! We collaborated with partners throughout the country-- from the bustling capital city of Lima, to the Northern rural regions of Cajamarca and Chota-- to provide doctors DynaMed training and access. DynaMed, an evidence-based, clinical decision support system, is already changing the way our Peruvian colleagues practice medicine. This tool has inspired medical roundtables using DynaMed to explore cases and find evidence-based solutions.

During our two weeks in Peru, 350 doctors across six hospitals received training and access to DynaMed! Thanks to the continued effort of our on-the-ground partners, many more doctors will receive access and training moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates coming out of Peru!
