Bay Area Clinical Associates

Bay Area Clinical Associates We are an organization committed to providing integrated, scientific, empathetic mental health treatment for individuals in the Bay Area and beyond.

The BACA model of care: BACA is unique in that we are committed to providing evidence-based treatments for youth with mental illness. We are comprised of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including well-trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and marriage and family therapists who bring their specialized training into an integrated system of care. Together, we provide all of the necessary outpatient mental health services, including psychotherapy (individual, family and group therapies for youth and parents), parenting support, academic/work support, and evaluation and management of medication. We empower our clinicians to utilize their full repertoire of knowledge to implement best-practices. BACA has contracted with several insurance panels, which is uncommon for most mental health providers in private practice. We offer financial aid and scholarships to those in need. We developed an innovative Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to facilitate access to appropriate levels of care. The IOP offers youth and families an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and a transition for those who need more support than can be provided in a typical outpatient setting. The IOP program utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy using traditional individualized therapy, management of medication and group therapy. Group therapy consists of: multi-family group, parent-training group, physical activity/nutrition group, art therapy group, relationship skills group, and CBT group.
