Love and Live Wellness

Love and Live Wellness DM for more info. When I was a kid I was teased for being different which taught me to hide the real me behind a mask. I started to see a shift.

We help women and non-binary folks with ADHD carve out me-time, set boundaries, and conquer all the things that make it difficult to adult, through private & group coaching. My nine-year-old self learned that if I didn't ask questions, I didn't make waves, and I didn't act “stupid” then my friends wouldn't ridicule or make fun of me and that felt safer. As an adult I felt lost and frustrated with my life, which led me to explore every possible path for personal growth that I could get my hands on. I went through so many books and programs that I couldn't finish them all. It was like going from shiny thing to shiny thing and bleeding money in the process. Some things did stick though and overtime I started to find the real me. As I started to embrace my imperfections and show bits of my true crazy self to the world. That all started when I became a yoga teacher in 2014. I found people complimenting my crazy yoga pants and reaffirming the things that make me uniquely me. Their joy helped me to feel more joyful. It wasn't until the pandemic of 2020 that I finally figured out what I'm truly good at: coaching. And not just any coaching, Yoga & Life Coaching, that brings together the philosophy of yoga into each coaching session. I discovered that I feel more grounded and able to coach and lead when I remember to breathe. Through Yoga & Life Coaching I got clear on my four core values and what matters to me most. That helped me clarify my purpose: Coaching women who feel the necessity to blend in so they can shed their mask and become their true self. Do you feel unsure of who you are? Every time you blend in, ignore your needs, and ignore your wants
you’re telling yourself that you don’t really matter

And overtime the real you has hidden behind your mask. Isn’t it time to stop blending? Take off that mask and reconnect with your true self. Pick a time to put you first and schedule your consultation to learn if working with me might be a good fit for you.

This is 45 😻 a reflection back on this past year, I…

📕 Published my first journal.

💖 Changed my signature program Boundaries & Balance from a 6-week program to a 10-month program.

📸 Officially joined my husband‘s business .notephotography as the director of operations.

🤓 Joined the board for MHAAC.

🧘🏻‍♀️ Led my first retreat and it was a smashing success!

🛑 Stopped teaching at Core Power Yoga after 10 years there.

🥳 Reached 1000 followers on IG

🚘 My daughter learned to drive and got their license. 🫣

🇮🇸🇳🇴 Visited parts of Iceland and Norway that I didn’t think I’d ever get to see with the

🍵 Drank A LOT of tea and shared it with new and old friends.

✍🏼 Journaled & laughed with my weekly journaling group CommuniTea (and apparently I’m their “fearless leader”)

🫶🏻 Experimented with a 6-week CommuniTea that got rave, reviews and folks keep asking for the next one.

🤣 Laughed so hard. I got tears on the insides of my glasses.

💻 Learned how to edit photos (though I’m still learning)

💜 Met incredible strangers that became instant friends (like Mar Munn who I led my retreat with)

📺 Had some hard days where all I wanted to do was watch Pride & Prejudice (the BBC miniseries of course), the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (the books is also epic), and Emma. (with Anya Taylor-Joy)

🔻Spent hours playing Trivial Pursuit with my husband and daughter, laughing hysterically and having a grand old time.

Getting vulnerable here!

My journaling this morning was insightful and eye opening. 👁️

inspired me with their vulnerability and it’s important and necessary for me to that too.

These words felt like they HAD TO GET OUT. Have you ever felt that??

I call them my aha moments or epiphanies. And when they hit I have to write them down. ✍🏼

These images of my journal are unedited and as they came out of my brain. 🧠

I share them as a reminder that you’re not alone. 😘

Your words/thoughts/feelings are valid (even the icky ones that you try to push away) 🌟

And I’m here to help you believe that too.

What resonates or stands out to you from what I shared?

Tell me in the comments or DM me, whichever feels more comfortable for you 😍

Reconnecting with yourself isn’t about adding more to your plate. 🍽️

It’s about shifting how you see what’s already there. 👀

Because there’s always going to be some excuse...

something that feels more important

that gets in the way of you being YOU.

We gotta shift our perspective to exit the overwhelm-self-doubt-shoulding storm and turn off autopilot—because they’re not serving you.

Here’s how:

🚫 Strip away the shoulds
Get crystal clear on what you actually need versus what you think you need.

🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 Connection isn’t optional
You weren’t meant to figure it all out alone.

💕 Practice kindness with the person in the mirror Stop trying to be perfect... be the messy, awesome, imperfect, beautifully weird human that you are.

Here’s the thing— you can’t make this shift while you’re drowning in your regular life.

You need space away from your constant demands to figure out who you are underneath it all.

That’s exactly what Breathe by the Bay is, the space to:

✨ Strip back to what matters (release the shoulds)

🌊 Real connection (8 carefully chosen humans)

🪞 Radical self-compassion (set boundaries without guilt)

Which one calls to you most? Tell me 1, 2, or 3 in the comments 👇🏻

P.S. This is your invitation to stop trying to figure it out alone. Join us at Breathe by the Bay: Your Permission Slip to Pause

3 sneaky ways you’re sabotaging your own boundaries — without realizing it 🤯

“I’ll spend $500 on summer camp for my kid, but I won’t buy myself new underwear—even though the elastic is stretched out and I’m wearing holes right now. Haven’t bought any since the pandemic!” —one of my clients

Does that sound like you too?

If so, here’s how you’re secretly sabotaging yourself:

☕ You brew fresh coffee for your partner but drink whatever’s left when you get back from school drop-off

Because somehow you’ve decided lukewarm, bitter coffee is “good enough” for you

🥓 You leave the last piece of extra crispy bacon for your daughter (even though you’re still hungry and it’s YOUR favorite)

She already had 3 pieces, but you tell yourself she “needs” it more

🍽️ You always serve yourself the smallest, most burnt portion at dinner

While giving everyone else the most appetizing, perfectly cooked food

Sound familiar?

Here’s what’s really happening:

You’re training yourself (and your family) that your needs don’t matter. 😳

You think you’re being noble, but you’re actually creating a resentful, burnt-out version of yourself who ends up grumbling into that giant pile of dishes, muttering about how no one appreciates you. 🧽

Your family doesn’t need a martyr. They need YOU—the real, energized, present version. 💕

The most unselfish thing you can do?

Take care of yourself first so you can show up whole instead of running on fumes. 💜

Ready to flip this script?

Breathe by the Bay (our July retreat) is where you practice putting yourself first without guilt. 🤩

Because self-care isn’t selfish—it’s service to everyone who loves you. 💞

Fill your own cup first without the guilt, so you can enjoy being present with the people you love instead of resenting them. 😻

Tell me: What’s your “grumbling into the dishes” moment that made you realize something needs to change? 👇🏻

You’re not protecting other people by martyring yourself.

“I am trying to make sure that my kids are not getting burned out, but it’s lead to me burning out instead.”

Raise your hand 🙋🏻‍♀️ if that’s you too.

What if I told you that the things you want—rest (real rest), joy (from the things that energize you), time for yourself—aren’t luxuries you have to earn?

What if they’re necessities you deserve right now?

If your brain is starting to glitch out and your “should voice” kicked in saying:

But I don’t have the time! ⏰
But I don’t have the money! 💰
But it’s selfish to want things for me! 😫

Those are not facts. 🙅🏻‍♀️

➡️ Those are the stories you tell yourself to stay small.

Those are the excuses you use to stop yourself from realizing how self destructive it is to put everyone else before you.

I created the Breathe by the Bay retreat because I was tired of watching incredible humans burn themselves out

and I wanted them to have an easy way to put themselves back into the equation.

This retreat (July 25-27) isn’t a luxury you’ll treat yourself to when everything else is perfect. It’s the reset that helps you break the “someday” cycle.

Because here’s what I’ve learned:
When you take care of yourself first, everything else gets easier.

When you fill your own cup, you have more to give.

➡️ When you stop waiting for permission to prioritize yourself, you model for everyone around you that their needs matter too. 💕

That’s what we’ll help you do during Breathe by the Bay.

Why you’re a people pleaser (and don’t even know it) 🪞

Real talk: Do any of these sound familiar?

📱 “They really needed me”
🥺 “They asked so nicely”
😰 “I felt like I couldn’t say no”
😔 “I felt guilty”
✨ “It feels good to help (in the moment)”

If you’re nodding along, welcome to the people pleaser club. Membership is exhausting and the only perk is chronic burnout. 😅

Here’s what I wish someone had told me sooner:

Guilt is just a feeling. A sucky feeling, but still just a feeling - which means it’s temporary.

Except... you probably feel guilty ALL THE TIME because of how society raised you. It’s hanging on you like that mold stain that won’t come off your shower door.

🚨 The problem? You’re using guilt as your decision-making compass instead of checking in with your actual capacity.

When someone asks for help, instead of thinking “Do I have energy for this?” you think “How guilty will I feel if I say no?”

That’s not sustainable.

You need permission to not feel guilty about taking time for yourself.

Consider this your official permission slip. 🎫

But here’s the full truth: You can’t break people-pleasing patterns while you’re living in them. You need space away from constant requests to even HEAR your own needs clearly.

That’s why I created Breathe by the Bay (July 25-27 in Albany, CA). It’s where you learn to release that sticky guilt and say no without the mental wrestling match.

Only 8 spots. If learning to honor your needs without guilt calls to you, don’t wait. 💕

Which people-pleasing phrase hits closest to home for you?

Our Story

Kerstin began her yoga journey almost by accident back in 1999. Since then she’s grown and found that yoga has the power to calm her, to work out the kinks from her day, and eliminate unnecessary stress. In 2014 Kerstin took her yoga journey to the next level by becoming an E-RYT 200 hour certified power yoga teacher. But she hasn’t stopped there. Kerstin realized that yoga alone wouldn’t make her complete and she started delving into nutrition and other healthy habits. When she launched her own business Love and Live Yoga she wanted to help people through every aspect of their lives: improve movement and flexibility through yoga, reduce stress, and cultivate better eating habits to keep the yoga glow flowing all day.
