You’ll get to take home your food safe and fully functional pieces after the workshop.

It’s gonna be fun! Outdoor event if it’s sunny but indoors if it’s raining.

Welp, I caught COVID during holiday travels. Me and everyone else it seems.

I can’t get vaccinated because of my medical conditions so getting sick was scary. But I’ve been prepping my body for this for months - years really.

The CDC has made it increasingly clear that they don’t really care about our health (something those of us with disabilities and chronic illness have known all along). And the resounding message throughout this pandemic has been that our only solutions are vaccines, masks, and staying home. While those are super important, we have so many other tools for staying healthy available to us. It’s about time we took our well-being into our own hands. In the hopes of helping y’all feel a bit more empowered and proactive, I thought I’d share some of the strategies that helped me get though this sickness.

These are just some basic strategies to help with mild COVID cases and to prevent catching it in the first place. There is SO much more I could say about this but I am trying to keep these resources broad. I didn’t include any prescription medications and didn’t even include ibuprofen because I avoid it and fever is rare with this variant. Those types of medications have an important place in treatment of COVID but it’s not my expertise so they’re not on this list. If you have questions or want more resources just shoot me a DM, I’m happy to share!

Take good care of yourselves and each other!!

Happy winter solstice!!
🌞
Here we are at the edge of our orbit around the sun. The longest nights are behind us and the time of increasing light is about to begin.
This moment in time at the turning point of the season is an opportunity for introspection, letting go, and setting intentions.

I invite you to reflect on your relationship to light and dark. Though modern western culture tends to have a lot of feelings about darkness in particular, these elements are not inherently positive or negative, they are a necessary balance in our world.
🕯
A ritual for this solstice:
light a candle or a fire this evening and meditate on the balance of lightness and darkness in your life.
Then write down something or things you want to let go of this season on a piece of paper.
On another piece of paper write down something or things you want to call in and hold on to.
You can tear up the piece of paper with things you want to let go of and burn it or you can bury it in the soil to be decomposed.
Take the piece of paper with what you want to call in and plant it with a seed you want to grow. Or you can speak your intentions into a glass of water and then drink it. Or you can keep it in your pocket or under your pillow.
This ritual practice is yours to adapt and make your own!
🔥
Whatever you decide to do, let this be an encouragement to sit down and feel your feelings! Reflect on the past season and get ready for the next. I hope y’all enjoy this very short day and long night 😘

My last sale of the year is next Sunday December 12th in Berkeley!

Many of my talented potter friends will be there too so this is a perfect opportunity to get all your holiday shopping done while supporting some local artists.

I will most likely not be doing an online sale before Christmas so if you want to buy some of my pottery, you’ll have to come to the sale! It’s better to shop for mugs in person anyway so come say hello IRL!

*photos are of a custom set I made a while back. I won’t have many plates at the sale but I will have botanical mugs!

Mark your calendars for November 20th !!!

A few of my pottery pals and I will be popping up for a little holiday sale!

I know it’s spooky scary that the holiday season is almost here but start thinking about gifts if you haven’t already! And remember that supporting local artists is good for the earth, good for your soul, and won’t give you the supply chain blues.

This is one of only 2 in person sales I’ll be doing this year so be there or be square!

A very small batch of botanical mugs will be available on my site on Saturday at noon! Along with some other recent work as well.

Get em while they’re hot, I can’t promise I’ll have more for the holidays.

These lavender and poppy mugs will be the only style. I’m really happy with how they turned out and they perfectly match my tattoo.
