NASW-Michigan condemns the act of violence that occurred today at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield and stands in solidarity with Michigan’s Jewish community. While we are grateful that children and staff were not physically harmed, incidents like this leave lasting trauma and reinforce the fear that many communities face simply for gathering in spaces of faith and belonging. Hate, antisemitism, and violence have no place in our communities, and everyone deserves to feel safe where they worship, learn, and live.

Allison earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2021. Her work draws from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, while tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual or couple. Allison is especially passionate about helping clients explore patterns, build insight, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Since joining the team, Ronit not only serves as a Clinical Therapist on the team but she is also the Clinical Manager. In the therapy room, Ronit works to provide a safe and nurturing environment where it feels as though you are chatting with a friend over a cup of coffee. Her direct, yet compassionate approach supports individuals in identifying and accessing their own needs and abilities to experience more joy in their lives. When Ronit is not at POM, you can find her at Jazzercise, spending time with her daughters or listening to true crime podcasts.

She specializes in working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility and works with a local nonprofit, to raise awareness for the cause. She has experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, life transitions, perfectionism and relationship issues. Amanda uses a combination of CBT, personal centered and strengths based approaches to meet the individual needs of her clients.
