Astigmatism is a common vision condition caused by an irregularly shaped cornea or lens, leading to blurry or distorted vision. The picture below (right) dictates this blurriness due to the abnormal shape of the eye. Fortunately, it can be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, refractive surgery such as LASIK, or cataract surgery when the time is right. If you’re experiencing blurred vision, eye strain, or headaches, schedule an eye exam—clear sight might be just a lens away!
