🎃 Happy Halloween! ✨
Last night we celebrated at the practice with what’s becoming a beautiful tradition — our Healing the Witch Wound workshop, facilitated by 🕯️
This powerful workshop helps us understand how, just a few generations ago, women were persecuted simply for being “different” —
Women who were outspoken, unmarried, intuitive, practiced any kind of creative or healing arts or simply didn’t fit “the mold” were accused and executed by the thousands — some historians estimate up to a million.
The lingering effects of those times can still be felt today — in our fears, limiting beliefs, and tendencies to stay small, passive or “polite.” It’s a fascinating and eye-opening topic (and certainly not one I ever learned in history class!).
Witch hunting was not something that only happened in Europe or Salem…🧙The first recorded ex*****on for witchcraft in the American colonies took place in Hartford, Connecticut, in May 1647. 🕯️
This workshop is always equal parts enraging, empowering, and healing — and we reclaimed some of that power with some creative fun, making our own witch hats! 🪄🧙♀️
If you haven’t yet attended a Healing the Witch Wound workshop, put it on your radar for next October— it’s one you won’t forget. 💫
