A Friendly Reminder
Governor Lamont has activated extreme hot weather protocols beginning this afternoon through Thursday, July 17th. Cooling Centers throughout the state will be activated and can be found by dialing 2-HotWeather nf1-1 or by visiting www.211ct.org. It is important to know the risks and treatment for heat-related illnesses; and to stay cool and hydrated. Check on your neighbors, especially, if they are older or have a disability. During the upcoming extended heatwave, residents are welcome to stop in and cool off at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, Community Center, or Senior Center during normal business hours. More information can be found on the governor's page at https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AnW7P4tb6/.
